  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Narrowly misses out on TD

Kirk recorded four receptions on four targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 44-10 win over the Ravens. Kirk had his best day as a Texan due primarily to a 47-yard catch to start the fourth quarter, narrowly missing a touchdown while being taken down at the three-yard line. Houston has spread its targets relatively evenly between several different pass catchers early this season, leaving Kirk with only four targets in consecutive games. That limited volume will hurt his fantasy outlook, though Sunday's big play was encouraging.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Sleeper WRs

Kirk hasn't done much in his two games this season with a combined six catches for 45 yards on 12 targets against Jacksonville and Tennessee, but he could be a nice surprise in Week 5 at Baltimore given the matchup. The Ravens are dealing with several defensive injuries coming into this game, and Baltimore is No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Six receivers have already scored at least 12.4 PPR points against the Ravens, and Kirk could follow suit as a complementary option to Nico Collins. I would use Kirk as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in this matchup.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Modest output in win

Kirk caught three of four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Titans in Week 4. Kirk was active for a second game after missing the first two weeks of the year with a hamstring injury. He's totaled 12 targets, more than any Houston receiver who has appeared in all four games aside from Nico Collins (31). Kirk will remain the No. 2 wideout for now, but rookie Jayden Higgins, who caught his first NFL touchdown Sunday, could push for the role as the season progresses.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 4 Adds (WR Preview)

Kirk's first game back was nothing to write home about, but there were some encouraging signs. He played almost two-thirds of the snaps in his debut and was second on the team with a 22% target share. Once he gets in sync with C.J. Stroud, he should be able to turn that type of volume into WR3 production on a regular basis.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 4 Waiver Priority List

Kirk had a quiet season debut in Week 3 at Jacksonville with three catches for 25 yards, but he got eight targets. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come, and the Texans need someone to step up opposite Nico Collins. Kirk missed the first two games of the season with a hamstring injury, so he could take some time to start making plays for C.J. Stroud. That said, you should stash Kirk where available for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Three catches in season debut

Kirk (hamstring) brought in three of four targets for 25 yards in the Texans' 17-10 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. Making his season/team debut, Kirk finished tied for third in receptions on another relatively difficult day for the Texans' passing game. The veteran wideout was projected to serve as an effective short-to-mid-range complement to Nico Collins coming into the season, and now that Kirk is finally healthy, he'll have a chance to start building chemistry with C.J. Stroud on an ongoing basis and likely provide Houston's struggling air attack with a boost. Kirk next takes aim at the Titans' inconsistent defense in a Week 4 home matchup.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Set to play Sunday

Kirk (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after practicing fully Friday. DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com relayed Tuesday that coach DeMeco Ryans said Kirk was expected to play this weekend after missing the Texans' first two games with a hamstring issue, an outcome that's now been confirmed. In his looming return, Kirk will bolster a Houston wideout corps that's led by Nico Collins, and assuming no in-game setbacks, he has a chance to see enough volume Sunday to merit Week 3 fantasy lineup consideration.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Limited again

Kirk (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Kirk has now logged back-to-back limited sessions after taking the practice field for the first time this season Wednesday. The veteran appears primed for a starting role alongside Nico Collins in Houston's wide receiver corps, once fully healthy. He'll work to gain clearance in time to make his team debut Sunday on the road against Jacksonville, though to avoid an injury designation for Week 3 he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice reps Friday.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Back at practice Wednesday

Kirk (hamstring) is participating in Wednesday's practice, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. Kirk is on the field for his first practice of the 2025 regular season, so while he figures to be officially listed as limited, this nonetheless represents a tangible step in the right direction for the veteran wideout. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday he expects Kirk to make his team debut versus Jacksonville on Sunday, a development that would figure to see him join Nico Collins atop a wide receiver corps otherwise housing Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Stashes (WR Preview)

We are hopeful that Christian Kirk will return this week, and the Texans need him even more than Fantasy managers do. Kirk should thrive on short area targets with C.J. Stroud behind a much-maligned Texans' offensive line. Kirk is better in full PPR leagues and will hopefully help C.J. Stroud's career-low 40.4% success rate. You may not want to start Kirk in his first game back, but you should definitely roster him.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Expected back for Week 3

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday that he anticipates Kirk (hamstring) making his team debut Sunday in Jacksonville, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Acquired from the Jaguars in March, Kirk missed the Texans' first two games of the season while he recovered from a hamstring injury, which has kept him from practicing since the end of the preseason. The veteran wideout's condition appears to have improved during his time off, but Kirk will still likely need to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday in order to receive clearance to play against one of his former teams. The potential return of Kirk to the lineup Sunday could help bolster a Texans passing attack that ranks 28th in the NFL with an average of 166.5 yards per game through the first two weeks.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

Kirk (hamstring) has yet to practice after getting hurt prior to Week 1, and we don't know when he's going to return to action, although it would be nice if he could face his former team at Jacksonville in Week 3. When healthy, he should be the No. 2 receiver for the Texans opposite Nico Collins, and Kirk has the potential to be a No. 3 Fantasy option in all leagues. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Set to sit Monday

Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus the Buccaneers. Kirk didn't practice all week, and he'll miss a second straight game to start the season. Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel all handled additional reps behind star wideout Nico Collins last week, and there figures to be a similar rotation in Week 2. Kirk's next chance to play is Week 3 versus the Jaguars.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Not practicing Friday

Kirk (hamstring) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Kirk also missed Thursday's session, which gives him one more chance to practice ahead of Monday night's game against the Buccaneers. If Kirk is ruled out for the contest, look for some combo of Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel to log added slot reps alongside fellow WRs Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Still not practicing

Kirk (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday. Per Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle, coach DeMeco Ryans noted that both Kirk and Braxton Berrios -- who missed the Texans' season opener with respective hamstring injuries -- are "doing well on their recovery" and that the team will "see how they go this week" ahead of Monday night's game against the Buccaneers. If Kirk remains sidelined Week 2, Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel would be candidates to absorb slot reps alongside fellow WRs Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Ruled out this week

Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's season opener versus the Rams. After missing practice this week, Kirk was trending in the wrong direction. Now that Kirk's Week 1 status has been confirmed, rookie WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel are in a position to see added opportunities this weekend behind top target Nico Collins, with Xavier Hutchinson and Justin Watson also on hand. Looking ahead, Kirk's Week 2 availability remains cloudy, with DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com having previously suggested that it could be a two-week injury for the 28-year-old, while noting that the Texans figure to proceed with caution with the wideout at this stage of the season.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Could sit Week 1

Kirk is dealing with a strained hamstring that is expected to sideline him for at least Sunday's season opener versus the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Official confirmation of Kirk's status will arrive when the Texans post their injury report Friday, but Schefter suggests that the wideout could miss time beyond this weekend, with one source estimating that his hamstring strain could be a two-week injury. In such a scenario, rookie wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel as well as Xavier Hutchinson would be in line for added opportunities behind top target Nico Collins.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Not seen at practice Thursday

Kirk (hamstring) wasn't spotted during the media-access portion of practice Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. After being held out of practice Wednesday, per Bien-Aime, Kirk wasn't present at the start of Thursday's session, which sets the stage for what he does Friday (if anything) to loom large in terms of his chances to play Sunday against the Rams. If Kirk ends up sidelined this weekend, added opportunities behind Nico Collins would be available for rookie WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, as well as Xavier Hutchinson.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 1 Adds (WR Preview)

Kirk isn't particularly exciting, but he opens the season as the pretty clear second target for C.J. Stroud. Stefon Diggs got off to a very good start last year operating in the same slot role for Stroud and the Texans. I wouldn't want to start Kirk as more than a flex, but he could be a high floor WR3 in a pinch.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Makes preseason debut

Kirk caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Panthers. Like No. 1 wideout Nico Collins and starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, Kirk made his preseason debut and played the first two series before calling it a day. Kirk, who was acquired from the Jaguars during the offseason and is locked in as the No. 2 wide receiver, hooked up with Stroud on each possession in what was a successful performance by the first-team offense, working in conjunction with new offensive coordinator and play caller Nick Caley.
