Steelers' Jamel Dean: Good to go for Week 3
Dean (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against Cincinnati.
Dean was working through an ankle issue during Week 3 prep and drew the questionable tag after logging back-to-back limited practices Thursday and Friday. He's been cleared by medical staff to play Sunday and will start opposite Asante Samuel at outside cornerback. Dean has eight tackles (five solo) through the first two games of the regular season.

Steelers' Jamel Dean: Uncertain to play in Week 3
Dean (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Dean didn't practice Wednesday, but despite his limited participation Thursday and Friday, he will carry an injury designation heading into the AFC North clash with the Bengals. Joey Porter (undisclosed), who is also questionable, might return in Week 3, so his presence would help fill the void if Dean isn't available. Asante Samuel would also continue to receive more playing time.

Steelers' Jamel Dean: DNP Wednesday
Dean (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Dean likely suffered his ankle injury in the Steelers' 20-3 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. The cornerback will need to upgrade his participation level in the remaining two practices of the week to avoid an injury designation for Sunday's divisional matchup with the Bengals.

Steelers' Jamel Dean: Agrees to three-year deal with PIT
Dean (shoulder) agreed to a three-year, $36.75 million contract with the Steelers on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Dean has recovered from a shoulder injury that sidelined him down the stretch in 2025, so he shouldn't have trouble passing a physical to make his contract with Pittsburgh official when the new league year begins Wednesday. Prior to getting hurt, the 29-year-old cornerback set a new career high with three interceptions in 14 games during the 2025 season. He has 61 passes defensed in 96 regular-season games (77 starts), all with the Buccaneers.
