Browns' Tytus Howard: New RT for Cleveland
The Browns acquired Howard in a trade with the Texans on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round pick and signed him to a three-year, $63 million contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Howard provides Cleveland with long-term stability at the right tackle position with Jack Conklin (concussion) considered a likely cut candidate this offseason. A 2019 first-round pick, Howard has developed into an outstanding lineman in terms of pass protection, though the quality of his run blocking left something to be desired in 2025. Howard will turn 30 years old this offseason and is also capable of lining up at guard.

Texans' Tytus Howard: Limited to begin Week 12 prep
Howard (knee/ankle) was estimated to be a limited practice participant Monday.
Howard missed the Texans' Week 10 win over the Jaguars with a concussion. He returned for Week 11 but he is now battling a pair of injuries ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Bills. It doesn't appear that he is in serious jeopardy of missing the contest, but his practice participation will be worth monitoring.

Texans' Tytus Howard: Cleared to return Week 11
Howard (concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Tennessee.
Howard suffered a concussion against Denver in Week 9 and didn't play last Sunday versus Jacksonville. However, he was a full participant in all three practices this week and is good to go for Sunday's contest. Howard should return to his customary starting role at right tackle.
