The defensive tackle suffered a knee injury last November as a member of the Ravens and ended the season on injured reserve, though he was practicing again for the final two weeks of the campaign. Bryan will now need to miss at least four games while on IR before being eligible to return to the active roster. Bryan recorded one tackle, including 0.5 sacks, in Sunday's 23-10 win over the Jets, but he appears to have suffered a knee injury in the process. Bryan spent the two prior seasons with the Colts, where he served in a rotational role at defensive tackle. Bryan signed a one-year deal with the Bengals on Sunday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Bryan spent the last two seasons playing as a rotational piece on the Colts' defensive line, totaling 42 tackles and 3.0 sacks while appearing in all 34 regular-season games over that span. The 29-year-old was a first-round pick for the Jaguars in 2018, and he's never played fewer than 15 regular-season games in his career. Bryan will add some veteran depth behind presumptive starting defensive tackles B.J. Hill (foot) and Tedarrell Slaton.

Colts' Taven Bryan: Logs mostly rotational role in 2024
Bryan ended the regular season with 20 tackles, including 1.0 sacks, a defensed pass and a fumble recovery over 17 games during the regular season.
Bryan started on defense in Weeks 2-7 but reverted to a rotational role and didn't log more than 34 percent of the Colts' defensive snaps in any game thereafter. He's been a reliably healthy player throughout his career, playing in all 17 regular-season games each of the past two seasons and never missing more than two contests in any of his seven NFL campaigns, but his production and role haven't warranted IDP consideration. Bryan is set to be an unrestricted free agent upon the beginning of the offseason.
