Steelers' Roy Philon: Signs contract with Steelers
Philon (ankle) signed a contract with the Steelers on Monday.
Philon was in Pittsburgh for training camp last summer but was waived after sustaining an unspecified ankle injury. Philon (ankle) was designated as waived/injured by the Steelers on Monday.
Philon suffered an ankle injury during the Steelers' joint practice with the Lions last week, but the severity of which is unknown. If he clears waivers, Pittsburgh will likely store him on their injured reserve list.
