Raiders' Jordan Willis: Staying out west
Willis signed with the Raiders on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Willis will stay out west as he heads to Las Vegas after spending the past three years in San Francisco. After recording 12 tackles (six solo) and two sacks in 2022, the 27-year-old will provide solid rotational depth behind pass rushers Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones as well as see time on special teams next season.

49ers' Jordan Willis: Returning to action
Willis (undisclosed) was reinstated to the 53-man roster Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Willis' return to the active roster will help beef up the 49ers' depth on the defensive line. The veteran edge rusher should suit up Sunday against the Chargers, which will be his first action of the 2022 campaign.

Willis (undisclosed) was placed on the 49ers' injured reserve Wednesday.
Willis has spent the past two seasons with San Francisco, including 15 tackles and three sacks while playing 149 defensive snaps over 10 regular-season games in 2021. With the 27-year-old now set to sit out until at least Week 6, the 49ers also promoted Kemoko Turay from the practice squad to help shore up the team's defensive line.

Willis has spent the last two seasons in San Francisco, and he'll compete for playing time with the Niners once again in 2022. He appeared in 10 games in 2021, logging 15 tackles (six solo), three sacks and a forced fumble.

Willis (ankle) is active for Saturday against the Packers, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Willis suffered a high-ankle injury in the 49ers' win over the Cowboys on Sunday and started the week being unable to participate in practice. After logging limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Willis was still considered a game-time decision for Saturday's divisional-round contest with the Packers. Ultimately though, he will suit up and should serve his usual role as a rotational piece of the 49ers' defensive line.

49ers' Jordan Willis: Questionable for divisional-round
Willis (ankle) is questionable to play in Saturday night's divisional-round matchup versus the Packers.
Willis picked up a high-ankle injury during the 49ers' wild-card win over the Cowboys, opening the week as a non-participant at Tuesday's practice. The defensive lineman was able to log limited efforts at practice Wednesday and Thursday, opening the door to be available for Saturday's divisional-round matchup with the Packers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that Willis has a chance to play this weekend because the injury is more of an aggravation of an old one rather than a new sprain, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

49ers' Jordan Willis: Diagnosed with high-ankle sprain
Willis suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's wild-card win over the Cowboys and is unlikely to play Saturday against the Packers, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Willis and Nick Bosa (concussion) were both injured on the same play late in the second quarter. However, the former was able to return to the field after halftime and totaled one quarterback hit on Dak Prescott across 22 defensive snaps. While he was able to continue playing Sunday, it appears that he won't be available for the NFC divisional round after being diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, which usually takes over a week to properly heal. The good news for the 49ers is that Bosa is expected to clear concussion protocols ahead of Saturday, so they will likely have their top edge pass rusher. However, Samson Ebukam will likely be thrust into an expanded role if Willis is ultimately ruled out.

49ers' Jordan Willis: Back from suspension
Willis was activated from the reserve/suspended list Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Willis served a six-game suspension to start the 2021 season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, but he figures to be available for Week 8 in Chicago. The defensive end appeared in seven contests a season ago, finishing with 13 tackles (seven solo) and 2.5 sacks.

Willis received a six-game suspension Thursday for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
In seven games with the 49ers last year, Willis tallied 13 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 183 snaps. The 26-year-old will still be able to participate in all offseason and preseason activities, but he'll miss the first six regular-season games.
