Peat announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Peat was a first-round selection of the Saints in the 2015 NFL Draft and started in 102 regular-season games out of 111 played with New Orleans across nine seasons. He spent the last two seasons with the Raiders and Steelers but started only four of 21 regular-season games in which he appeared. Peat was named to the Pro Bowl three times from 2018 to 2020.

Peat suffered a concussion against the Ravens in Week 14 and was unable to return to the game. Peat (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Peat sustained an ankle injury in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Bengals, however, it appears Las Vegas' Week 10 bye was enough time for the veteran offensive lineman to move past the issue. Now that Peat has returned to full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Raiders' top backup tackles.

Peat exited Sunday's game against the Bengals with an ankle injury and is questionable to return, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Peat was in the game at left tackle in place of an injured Kolton Miller, who left earlier in the contest with an ankle injury of his own. The Raiders are down to Thayer Munford and Delmar Glaze as their remaining tackles.
