  • Jon Feliciano: Calls it a career

Feliciano (knee) announced Thursday via his personal social media that he is retiring from the NFL. Feliciano says he "realized I had to leave the game" in his statement due to the fact that the knee injury that kept him out the entire 2024 campaign would prohibit him from suiting up for a full season in the future. The veteran guard did, however, state that he'd be open to returning for a playoff run in the future with either the 49ers or Bills, both teams he's previously played for. Since joining the league in 2015, Feliciano also has seen action with the Raiders and Giants.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Remaining on IR

Feliciano (knee) will remain on injured reserve for the remainder of the season, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. The veteran offensive lineman has yet to play this season after he underwent a knee surgery in training camp that landed him on IR. Feliciano's 21-day practice window opened in early November, but his knee hasn't responded the right way and he's now set to miss all of 2024.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Returning to San Francisco

The 49ers re-signed Feliciano on a one-year deal Friday, Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reports. The nine-year veteran will remain in San Francisco after agreeing to terms on another one-year deal Friday. Feliciano has also spent time with the Raiders, Bills and Giants across his NFL career, appearing in 113 total games and making 61 starts. Last season, the 32-year-old offensive lineman appeared in 16 games (seven starts) and played 559 total snaps for the 49ers, and he's expected to compete for the starting job at right guard once again this offseason.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Ready for SNF

Feliciano (concussion) will be active for Sunday Night Football versus the Cowboys, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports. Feliciano will be available for Week 5 after he suffered a concussion in the 49ers' Week 4 win over the Cardinals. The 31-year-old will operate in his typical role as an extra interior offensive lineman on San Francisco's bench.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Back at practice

Feliciano (shoulder) returned to practice Monday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Feliciano left Thursday's practice after injuring his shoulder, but his quick return indicates the issue is not serious. The 31-year-old is projected to back up Jake Brendel at center this season should he ultimately make the final 53-man roster.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Leaves camp practice with injury

Feliciano (shoulder) suffered an injury during practice Thursday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. The veteran offensive lineman signed a one-year deal with San Francisco after having stints with Las Vegas, Buffalo and New York. Expect the 31-year-old to serve as a backup for the 49ers ahead of the coming season. The severity of Feliciano's injury is currently unknown.

  • 49ers' Jon Feliciano: Headed to San Francisco

Feliciano signed a one-year deal with the 49ers on Monday, Kim Jones of Newsday reports. Feliciano, a former Bill and Giant, will head to San Francisco for the 2023 season. The 31-year-old is able to play the interior of the offensive line, but he may find it difficult to lock down a starting job this offseason behind center Jake Brendel and guards Spencer Burford and Aaron Banks. More than likely, Feliciano will be veteran insurance in case any of the trio suffers an injury.
