Bullough has not appeared in an NFL game since his 2016 season with Houston, where he played 240 snaps in relief of an injured Brian Cushing. Despite playing well during that time, Houston released Bullough following a suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Texans' Max Bullough: Suspended four games
Bullough has been suspended for the first four games of 2017 for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substance policy, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Bullough has taken blame for the violation and is unlikely to appeal the suspension. Little more than a depth linebacker, Bullough's temporary absence shouldn't impact the Texans defense greatly. The 25-year-old logged 25 tackles in 16 games last season.
