Top 76ers News

  • 76ers' Dante Maddox: Leads 76ers in scoring Thursday

Maddox finished with 21 points (7-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 31 minutes in Thursday's 101-93 Summer League win over Detroit.

Maddox finished with a team-high 21 points while shooting an efficient 4-for-6 from deep to help lead Philadelphia to its first victory of Summer League. The 24-year-old spent his final collegiate season at Xavier in 2024-25. In 34 appearances with the Musketeers, including two NCAA Tournament games, Maddox averaged 7.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.2 steals while shooting 41.1 percent from behind the arc. Although Maddox doesn't add much outside of his abilities on the scoring end, he will gain attention from teams around the league if he continues to play well throughout the remainder of Summer League.

  • 76ers' Isaac Johnson: Scores 20 points off bench Thursday

Johnson finished with 20 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 20 minutes in Thursday's 101-93 Summer League win over Detroit.

Despite coming off the bench, Johnson finished second on the team in scoring behind Dante Maddox. He was efficient from deep, shooting 4-for-6 while going without a turnover to help lead the 76ers to a win to begin Summer League. Johnson made stops at Oregon and Utah State before ending his collegiate career at Hawaii in 2025-26. In 33 games with the Rainbow Warriors, including the NCAA Tournament, the 25-year-old averaged 14.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.6 steals over 21.2 minutes. Although Johnson still has a long way to go, he could earn a spot on a G League roster if he continues playing well throughout the remainder of Summer League.

  • 76ers' Johni Broome: Double-double in SL win

Broome closed with 19 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 27 minutes in Thursday's 101-93 Summer League win over the Pistons.

Broome contributed across the board, highlighted by a game-high 13 rebounds as part of a double-double effort. The big man saw limited action at the NBA level as a rookie during the 2025-26 season, averaging 0.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per contest across 11 appearances. He'll look to continue showcasing his interior presence as the Las Vegas Summer League rolls on.

  • 76ers' Labaron Philon: Scores 18 points in SL win

Philon finished with 18 points (6-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and one steal across 29 minutes in Thursday's 101-93 Summer League win over the Pistons.

Philon struggled from inside the arc but knocked down a game-high-tying four triples while finishing as one of four Philadelphia players to score at least 18 points. The 22nd overall pick in this year's draft also dished out a game-high seven assists in his Summer League debut. The 20-year-old guard will likely have an opportunity to carve out a role off the 76ers' bench in 2026-27, though he'll have to compete for playing time with guys like Anfernee Simons and Dalen Terry behind a loaded starting backcourt.

The 76ers continue to round out their roster after acquiring Jaylen Brown on Wednesday. The second year of this deal is a player option, which will allow Simons to bet on himself if he puts together a strong campaign.
