Top Pacers News

  • Pacers' Ben Sheppard: Plays key role for Pacers

Sheppard continued to provide valuable depth on the wing during the 2025-26 campaign, carving out minutes with his perimeter shooting and defensive effort.

Although Indiana's veteran core limits his offensive opportunities, the organization continues to value his ability to play within the system. Sheppard's role could be reduced entering the 2026-27 season, however, as the Pacers will be getting Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) back in the mix.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Makes strides in third season

Walker took another step forward during his third NBA season, earning a larger role in Indiana's rotation thanks to his defensive versatility and improving offensive game.

The 2023 lottery pick remains one of the Pacers' most intriguing young forwards and could continue seeing increased opportunities as his development progresses. He enters 2026-27 positioned to remain a key member of Indiana's frontcourt rotation.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Looking to rebound in 2026-27

Nesmith continued to establish himself as one of Indiana's most valuable two-way wings during the 2025-26 season, but injuries limited him to 45 regular-season appearances.

Nesmith's combination of three-point shooting, defensive versatility and energy made him an ideal fit alongside the Pacers' core. With Indiana largely standing pat this offseason, Nesmith should continue to occupy a prominent role in the starting lineup. In 2025-26, he averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 dimes and 2.3 three-pointers for a shorthanded Pacers squad.

  • Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Bright spot in tough season

Siakam remained one of Indiana's most productive players in 2025-26, providing consistent scoring, rebounding and veteran leadership during a rebuilding campaign.

The four-time All-Star can now look forward to complementing a returning Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) as the Pacers' top frontcourt option and should remain heavily involved offensively. Indiana made no significant offseason additions that would impact Siakam's workload heading into 2026-27, and the fact that Indiana is projected to be competitive is great news for his outlook.

  • Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Another productive campaign

McConnell continued to deliver steady production off the bench for Indiana during the 2025-26 campaign, serving as one of the league's most reliable reserve point guards.

The veteran remains an important source of playmaking and defensive intensity whenever he's on the floor, even in a limited role. With the Pacers returning much of their core, McConnell is expected to reprise his role as the team's primary backup point guard entering 2026-27, this time behind a returning Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles).

  • Pacers' Jalen Slawson: Re-signing with Pacers

Slawson signed a two-way contract with the Pacers on Tuesday, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com.

Indiana extended Slawson a qualifying offer in June, and the two sides have officially reached an agreement on a new deal. Preparing for his second season with the Pacers, the 2023 second-rounder figures to spend most of his time with the G League's Noblesville Boom in 2026-27.

  • Pacers' Jalen Slawson: Another strong SL outing

Slawson finished Saturday's 91-73 Summer League win over the Pelicans with 22 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, four blocks and one steal over 29 minutes.

As he's done for much of the Summer League, Slawson made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. He scored 10 of his team-high 22 points in the fourth quarter while also leading the Pacers with five stocks. Slawson appeared in only 13 regular-season games for Indiana in 2025-26 but averaged 23.9 minutes per contest. He could carve himself out a consistent role in the Pacers' rotation for 2026-27 if he extends his strong Summer League play into training camp and the preseason.

  • Pacers' Keba Keita: Nets 14 points with seven boards

Keita tallied 14 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two steals and three blocks over 16 minutes in Saturday's 91-73 Las Vegas Summer League win over the Pelicans.

Keita missed just one shot in 16 minutes off the bench and still managed to lead Indiana's second unit in scoring. He'll head to training camp with the Pacers, where he'll compete for a spot on the regular-season roster.

  • Pacers' Taevion Kinsey: Won't play Saturday

Kinsey (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's Las Vegas Summer League final versus the Pelicans, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Through four games in Las Vegas, Kinsey averaged 6.5 points and 1.3 triples in 13.8 minutes per game. It will be interesting to see if he earns a training camp invite with Indiana.

  • Pacers' Keion Brooks: Not playing Saturday

Brooks (rest) won't play in Saturday's Summer League game against New Orleans, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

  • Pacers' Tamin Lipsey: Not playing Saturday

Lipsey (rest) will not play in Saturday's Summer League game against the Pelicans, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Lipsey appeared in two Summer League games for the Pacers and averaged 3.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 22.8 minutes per contest. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Pacers in late June, but it's unclear whether he's done enough to earn an invite to Indiana's training camp.

  • Pacers' Braden Smith: Team-high eight assists in loss

Smith posted eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), eight assists and six rebounds over 26 minutes during Indiana's 114-98 loss to Minnesota in Wednesday's Summer League game.

Smith didn't have a huge scoring game, though it was better than the donut he put up against the Raptors on Monday. He did lead the Pacers in assists and finished as the team's second-leading rebounder behind Jalen Slawson (nine). Smith was a second-round pick of the Pacers in the 2026 NBA Draft, and he figures to spend most of his rookie season in the G League.

  • Pacers' Jalen Slawson: Stands out despite SL loss

Slawson notched 20 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and four blocks in Wednesday's 114-98 Summer League loss to the Timberwolves.

Slawson has been one of the standout performers for the Pacers during Summer League action. This was his third straight game reaching the 20-point plateau, and he grabbed at least eight rebounds for a second consecutive contest. In four Las Vegas Summer League outings, Slawson is averaging 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 blocks per game.

  • Pacers' Jalen Slawson: Scores 21 points in SL loss

Slawson finished with 21 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 28 minutes in Monday's 94-93 Summer League loss to Toronto.

Slawson scored over 20 points for the second time during Summer League. He also remained aggressive on the defensive end by recording two blocks, bringing his total to eight during his time in Las Vegas. However, Slawson has been inefficient from deep, shooting a combined 4-for-18 from downtown in his three Summer League appearances while committing nine turnovers during that span.

  • Pacers' Braden Smith: Dishes out nine assists in SL loss

Smith supplied zero points (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), nine assists, three rebounds and two steals across 27 minutes in Monday's 94-93 Summer League loss to the Raptors.

Smith couldn't find the bottom of the net in this one, though he was able to contribute in other areas. The rookie point guard led the Pacers in assists and has dished out at least five dimes in back-to-back games. Additionally, he has now tallied multiple steals in all three of his Las Vegas Summer League appearances thus far.
