  • Nuggets' Tyus Jones: Staying in Denver

Jones agreed to a one-year deal Thursday to remain with the Nuggets, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Jones has bounced around the league since being drafted in 2015, making stops in Minnesota, Memphis, Washington, Phoenix, Orlando and Dallas before joining the Nuggets in March 2026. He appeared in 11 regular-season contests with Denver, though he averaged only 2.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.1 steals over 8.4 minutes. With that in mind, Jones was once one of the most reliable backup point guards in the NBA, so he could turn things around if he's given more minutes in 2026-27.

  • Nuggets' Marvin Bagley: Signs with Denver

Bagley (shoulder) agreed to a one-year deal with the Nuggets on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

After playing for three teams over the past two seasons, Bagley will join the Nuggets for the 2026-27 campaign. The big man appeared in 60 regular-season games (12 starts) between the Wizards and Mavericks last season, averaging 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 combined steals-plus-blocks while shooting 61.8 percent from the field across 20.0 minutes per contest. He figures to operate as Denver's top backup big man behind Nikola Jokic.

After a quiet rookie season, Jones was thrust into extended action last year due to numerous injuries in Denver. He averaged 22.1 minutes across 64 regular-season appearances, including 37 starts. He shot 50.4 percent from the floor, including 39.6 percent from deep on 2.3 attempts per game.

  • Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Receives qualifying offer

The Nuggets tendered a qualifying offer to Watson (hamstring) on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

With tons of injuries in Denver last season, Watson broke out, averaging 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals per game on 49/41/73 shooting splits. However, the injury bug also hit Watson, who missed 31 of the Nuggets' final 36 games, including every postseason contest. Given his strong performance, Watson is set for a major raise, assuming he's fully healthy during free agency.
