Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Could return as soon as Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Bellinger (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Sunday.
Bellinger will kick off a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday and will play at least two rehab games before the Yankees determine whether he's ready to return to the active roster. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since late July with a strained left hamstring.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Starting rehab stint Thursday
Bellinger (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and is expected to play in at least two games before potentially rejoining the Yankees, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
The 31-year-old was previously expected to begin the rehab assignment Tuesday, but he'll instead return to game action later in the week. Bellinger has been out nearly a month due to the hamstring strain, and he could be back with the Yankees before the end of the weekend if he hits the ground running with the RailRiders on Thursday and Friday. It may be more realistic to expect him to be reinstated from the injured list next week, however.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Ready for rehab assignment
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Bellinger (hamstring) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday and could be activated from the 10-day injured list by next weekend, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Bellinger will most likely head to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and play Tuesday and Thursday before being re-evaluated. That would have him on track to slot back into the Yankees lineup during next weekend's home series versus the Blue Jays. Bellinger has been on the shelf since July 26 due to a left hamstring strain.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Adjustment made to rehab dates
Yankees manager Aaron Boone clarified that Bellinger (hamstring) will start his minor-league rehab assignment Thursday or Friday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Boone had previously said that Bellinger was on track to kick off a rehab assignment Tuesday, but the skipper issued a correction following Sunday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays, noting that the outfielder will instead report to a minor-league affiliate later in the week. Bellinger will go through another couple days of pregame work before returning to game action Thursday or Friday. Bellinger, who has been shelved since July 26 while working his way back from a left hamstring strain, will likely need at least a couple of rehab games to get his timing back at the plate before he makes his return from the injured list.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Runs bases for second straight day
Bellinger (hamstring) was spotted running the bases during pregame warmups Wednesday, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
Per MLB.com, manager Aaron Boone said that Bellinger ran the bases at about "90 percent of his top speed" Tuesday, and the outfielder appeared to be moving at less than full speed once again Wednesday. Running on consecutive days is a step in the right direction nonetheless for Bellinger, who had already resumed taking on-field batting practice and shagging flyballs in the outfield since landing on the shelf July 26. As soon as he completes a full running and defensive progression, Bellinger will likely head out on a rehab assignment before potentially returning from the 10-day injured list in late August or early September.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Takes BP on Wednesday
Bellinger (hamstring) took live batting practice Wednesday for the first time since landing on the injured list July 26, MLB.com reports.
Bellinger has also been able to do some running and throwing as part of his ramp-up process but his timeline to return from the IL remains unchanged. Shortly after Bellinger was placed on the shelf due to a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, manager Aaron Boone said that the reigning All-Star Game MVP would miss approximately 4-to-6 weeks. The short end of that timeframe would give Bellinger a chance to return to action for the Yankees at some point in late August.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Running, hitting and throwing
Bellinger (hamstring) has been doing some outdoor running while also hitting and throwing, per MLB.com.
Bellinger seems to be making progress from the left hamstring strain he suffered in late July. Still, the veteran outfielder isn't expected to be activated from the IL until late August or early September. The Yankees acquired Heliot Ramos in a trade with San Francisco on Monday, providing some depth in the outfield with Bellinger and Aaron Judge (ribs) both currently sidelined.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Bellinger is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
Bellinger suffered the injury during Saturday's game versus the Phillies and was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. It's another significant blow to a Yankees offense that's already missing Aaron Judge (ribs) and Giancarlo Stanton (calf). Spencer Jones will get plenty of reps in the outfield while Bellinger is out, and Max Schuemann will see some action versus lefties.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Lands on injured list
The Yankees placed Bellinger on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left hamstring strain.
The veteran outfielder sustained the injury during Saturday's win over the Phillies and will be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. It's another huge blow to a Yankees outfield that has been without Aaron Judge (ribs) since late May and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) since late April. Bellinger will be eligible to return Aug. 4, but there's no firm timeline for his recovery. Spencer Jones was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to round out New York's outfield.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Returning to New York for testing
Bellinger said he will return to New York on Monday to undergo additional testing on his strained left hamstring, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Bellinger was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, but the Yankees are still looking to determine the severity of his hamstring injury. Even if his upcoming tests reveal a minor strain, Bellinger could be hard pressed to make it back from the shelf when first eligible Aug. 4. The Yankees recalled Spencer Jones from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move, and the rookie could end up occupying the strong side of a platoon in the outfield while Bellinger is on the IL.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Exits game early Saturday
Bellinger left Saturday's game against the Phillies due to an apparent injury, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
After running out a double in the eighth inning, Bellinger appeared to hurt himself and was removed from the game in the bottom of the frame. Max Schuemann took over in left field for Bellinger, who should be considered day-to-day as he's evaluated.

Manager Aaron Boone said Bellinger suffered a left hamstring injury in Saturday's win over the Phillies, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Bellinger will undergo further testing after he was injured legging out a double in the top of the eighth inning Saturday. At the time of his departure, Bellinger was 2-for-4 with the double and one RBI. He's currently on a six-game hitting streak and has recorded at least one base knock in 11 of his past 12 contests. Bellinger has a .770 OPS with 11 homers and 53 RBI on the season.
