Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: Out with plantar fasciitis
The Angels placed d'Arnaud on the 10-day injured list Friday with right foot plantar fasciitis.
D'Arnaud had to leave Wednesday's game versus the White Sox with the injury, though it's unclear if it might have been bothering him previously. He joins Logan O'Hoppe (wrist) on the IL, leaving the Angels with Sebastian Rivero and Omar Martinez as their top two catchers.

Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: Dealing with foot issue
Manager Kurt Suzuki said Wednesday that d'Arnaud is dealing with pain in his foot, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
D'Arnaud came out of Wednesday's game against the White Sox in the fifth inning after attempting to leg out an infield single. He reportedly had trouble putting weight on his foot after exiting, so the Angels will send him in for further testing. More will be known about the severity of his injury once the results come back, but Sebastian Rivero could be in line to make a start or two behind home plate once the Angels begin their weekend series in Toronto.

D'Arnaud was hit by a pitch on his left foot and forced to exit Sunday's contest against the Padres in the seventh inning.
D'Arnaud was struck in his left foot by a 94.6 mph sinker from relief pitcher Kyle Hart in the bottom of the seventh frame, and he was unable to remain in the game. The Angels placed d'Arnaud on the 7-day concussion IL on Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
D'Arnaud will join fellow backstop Logan O'Hoppe on the concussion IL after the former was hit in the head by a backswing during Thursday's contest.
