  • Penguins' Nicholas Robertson: Avoids arbitration

Robertson signed a two-year, $6.5 million contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Robertson had been headed for an arbitration hearing, but it seems the two sides were able to work out a deal. In 78 regular-season games with the Leafs last year, the 24-year-old winger notched 16 goals and 16 assists, reaching the 30-point threshold for the first time in his career. For now, Robertson can likely be penciled in for a third-line role, but he could move up the lineup later in the year.

  • Red Wings' Ronnie Attard: Signs with Detroit

Attard inked a one-year, two-way contract with the Red Wings on Monday.

Attard spent this past year with AHL Colorado, contributing three goals, 17 points and a plus-3 rating over 44 regular-season games. The 2019 third-round pick hasn't appeared in an NHL game since the 2023-24 campaign, when he was with the Flyers. Attard will provide the Red Wings with organizational depth for the 2026-27 season.

  • Rangers' Braden Schneider: Agrees to terms with Rangers

Schneider signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Rangers on Monday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Schneider was a restricted free agent to begin the offseason, but he'll avoid arbitration with the Rangers by agreeing to his one-year deal. He appeared in all 82 regular-season games last year, recording two goals, 16 assists, 163 hits, 140 blocked shots and 26 PIM while averaging 20:27 of ice time.

  • Jordan Oesterle: Announces retirement

Oesterle announced his retirement from playing hockey Monday.

Oesterle had 23 goals and 96 points in 409 career NHL regular-season appearances. He played for Arizona, Edmonton, Detroit, Nashville, Chicago, Boston and Calgary across 12 campaigns. He spent most of 2025-26 with AHL Milwaukee, where he collected 14 goals and 46 points in 69 regular-season outings.

  • Fabian Lysell RW | COL

Avalanche's Fabian Lysell: Secures one-year contract

Lysell agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Colorado on Monday.

Per PuckPedia, it's a two-way deal. Lysell was a restricted free agent after being acquired by Colorado in a swap with Boston for Ivan Ivan. The 23-year-old Lysell last appeared in an NHL game during the 2024-25 campaign, logging 12 regular-season contests for the Bruins in which he tallied one goal on 21 shots, two assists and five hits while averaging 13:27 of ice time.

  • Viggo Bjorck C | WPG

Jets' Viggo Bjorck: Signs entry-level contract

Bjorck signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Winnipeg on Monday.

During the 2025-26 campaign with Djurgardens IF of the SHL, Bjorck had six goals and 15 points in 42 regular-season appearances before adding one goal and two assists in three playoff outings. Winnipeg selected him with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old will be in the mix for a middle-six role with the Jets during training camp.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Lands four-year deal

Krebs signed a four-year, $18 million contract with Buffalo on Monday.

Krebs set career highs in the 2025-26 regular season with 12 goals and 39 points in 82 games. He also added 93 shots on net, 201 hits and 78 PIM. Krebs mostly occupied a top-six role, but he might settle into a bottom-six spot in the 2026-27 campaign. However, he could move up the depth chart if injuries occur.

  • Rodrigo Abols: Signs with Swiss team

Abols (ankle) signed a three-year contract with SC Bern of Switzerland's National League on Monday.

Abols had three goals, 10 points, 43 shots on net, 49 hits and 24 blocked shots across 42 appearances with Philadelphia during the 2025-26 regular season. According to Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Abols sat out the final 35 games of the regular season and all 10 of the Flyers' playoff contests after he suffered a fractured fibula, a torn syndesmosis joint and a deltoid ligament injury against the Rangers on Jan. 17.

  • Colton Dach C | EDM

Oilers' Colton Dach: Inks two-year contract

Dach signed a two-year, $2.4 million contract with Edmonton on Sunday.

Dach compiled five goals, 13 points, 58 shots on net, 219 hits and 52 PIM across 61 regular-season appearances between Edmonton and Chicago in 2025-26. As a member of the Oilers in the 2026-27 campaign, he should occupy a bottom-six role and could see time on the second power-play unit.

  • Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Reunites with St. Louis

Sundqvist signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues on Friday.

Sundqvist's deal is for the league minimum at the NHL level, which leaves him with a bit of a pay cut after he completed a two-year, $3 million contract. He was a somewhat useful bottom-six option for the Blues in 2025-26, earning five goals, 12 assists, 37 shots on net, 69 hits and a minus-18 rating over 52 regular-season contests. The 32-year-old will likely be looking at a similar role in 2026-27, though the two-way nature of the deal makes it more affordable to stash him in the AHL if he struggles in training camp.
