  • Stars' Dylan Hryckowian: Sent to minors

Hryckowian was reassigned to AHL Texas on Wednesday.

Hryckowian has no points, one shot and one hit in two appearances with Dallas in 2026-27. He also has three goals and eight points in eight outings with Texas this campaign.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Between pipes against Calgary

Jarry will start Wednesday's home game against the Flames, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

Following a two-game winning streak, Jarry has been held winless in his last two outings, going 0-1-1 with a 4.33 GAA and .847 save percentage during that time. However, he'll draw a third consecutive start Wednesday and will have a favorable matchup against the Flames, who have logged 2.55 goals per game to begin the year, which is tied for the fifth-worst mark in the league.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Upgraded to day-to-day

The Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that Tanev (upper body) has been upgraded to day-to-day, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

Tanev has been on injured reserve and considered week-to-week since mid-October. While he remains on injured reserve for now, he participated in Wednesday's morning skate in a regular sweater and appears to be closing in on a return. Across his first five appearances of the regular season, the 36-year-old recorded an assist, 14 blocked shots and a hit while averaging 16:51 of ice time.

  • Maple Leafs' Kirill Marchenko: Considered week-to-week

The Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that Marchenko (lower body) is considered week-to-week, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.

Marchenko exited Monday's matchup against the Flames due to his lower-body injury, and he's facing a multi-game absence. It's not yet clear whether the Maple Leafs plan to place the 26-year-old on injured reserve while he recovers, but Benoit-Olivier Groulx is a candidate to see increased playing time while Marchenko is sidelined.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Set to start Thursday

Dobes will start Thursday's road game against Dallas.

Dobes didn't appear in any of the last three games, but he'll return to the crease to close out the Canadiens' four-game road trip. The 25-year-old has been held out of the win column in each of his last four starts, going 0-2-2 with a 5.09 GAA and .828 save percentage during that time.

  • Cam Crotty D | MIN

Senators' Cameron Crotty: Put on waivers

Crotty was placed on waivers by Ottawa on Wednesday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Crotty has been in the lineup for just one of Ottawa's past 10 games, although some of that time was missed due to illness. He'll presumably be sent to AHL Belleville if he goes unclaimed, which would give him an opportunity to play more regularly.

  • Carson Soucy D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Carson Soucy: Waived Wednesday

Soucy was placed on waivers Wednesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Soucy has an assist in seven outings with Columbus in 2026-27. However, he's been a healthy scratch in three of the Blue Jackets' past five games, which is probably why he was put on waivers. Columbus will presumably send him to the minors if he goes unclaimed.

  • Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Game-time call for Thursday

Hagel (undisclosed) is slated to be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Winnipeg, per Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.

Hagel has seven goals and 13 points in 11 appearances in 2026-27. If he can't play Thursday, then Dominic James will probably draw into the lineup. In addition, Ilya Mikheyev might serve in a top-six capacity if Hagel is unavailable.

  • Lightning's Zemgus Girgensons: Won't play Thursday

Girgensons (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jets, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Girgensons sustained a lower-body injury during Saturday's game against the Mammoth, and he'll be unavailable for at least one additional matchup. Dominic James will likely enter the lineup against Winnipeg, especially since Brandon Hagel (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Thursday.

  • Daemon Hunt D | NSH

Predators' Daemon Hunt: Pockets first point with new team

Hunt recorded an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.

Hunt played in his second game with the Predators since he was claimed off waivers. Nashville dressed seven defensemen to fit him into the lineup, though it's unclear if the 24-year-old will have a normal path to playing time if the team cuts down to a more traditional lineup. Hunt is likely competing with Nick Perbix and Jayden Struble for third-pairing minutes. Hunt has a helper, 10 shots, 13 blocked shots, eight hits, four PIM and a minus-3 rating over 13 outings between Nashville and Minnesota this season.
