John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Gets win against Chicago
Gibson delivered 18 saves in a 4-1 win over Chicago on Thursday.
Gibson has lost just once in regulation in his last five games (3-1-1) , but he's 4-4-1 with a 3.15 GAA and .874 save percentage in nine starts overall. Thursday's win was just the second full-game this season where he allowed just one goal in the contest. He's allowed four or more three times and those have all occurred in his last six starts. Gibson is consistently inconsistent and that makes him an unreliable fantasy option right now.

Lucas Raymond LW | DET
Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Eight points in last five games
Raymond scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks.
It came on the power play early in the second frame. Raymond has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games and eight points, including four goals and five power-play points (three PPG, two PPA), and 16 shots on goal in his last five contests. With Dylan Larkin suspended by the team, Raymond is the de facto leader in Detroit. He already has 12 points in 13 games, and he's firing the puck far more than in the past. His 39 shots so far put him on a near 250 pace; his previous best was 192 in 2024-25. Raymond has delivered 72, 80 and 76 points in the last three seasons, and with the increased volume he could surpass his previous best.

Viktor Arvidsson LW | DET
Red Wings' Viktor Arvidsson: Hattie plus helper leads team to win
Arvidsson had a hat trick and an assist in a 4-1 win over Chicago on Thursday.
It was his sixth career shutout. Arvidsson exploded without Dylan Larkin, who was suspended by the Red Wings after saying he would not play while waiting for a trade. That's a great sign, as the winger will need to carry more of the offensive load in Detroit without Larkin. Arvidsson has six points, including four goals (10 shots), in his last two games, and he has 10 of his 14 points in his last six contests. Yes, it will be hard for the Wings without Larkin, but this was a great show-them game.

Andre Burakovsky LW | OTT
Senators' Andre Burakovsky: Hurt in Thursday's game
Burakovsky (lower body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Kings.
Burakovsky joins Warren Foegele (knee) and William Eklund (ankle) as injured wingers for the Senators. For now, Burakovsky can be considered day-to-day. If he can't play Saturday versus the Sharks, the Senators will likely need to either make a roster move or dress seven blueliners to fill out their lineup.

Tommy Lafreniere RW | EDM
Oilers' Tommy Lafreniere: Logs three assists for WMU
Lafreniere had three assists in Western Michigan University's 10-2 win over Long Island University on Thursday.
Lafreniere has picked up two goals and five assists through his first six games in college. The winger logged 77 points in 67 regular-season outings for WHL Kamloops in 2025-26. He also got a little action on an amateur tryout in the AHL, earning three points over eight games between the regular season and playoffs. Lafreniere's a third-round pick from 2025, so he may need multiple years in college before he's ready for the professional ranks.

Colten Ellis G | BUF
Sabres' Colten Ellis: Slated to start Thursday
Ellis is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Thursday, per Ducks PA Announcer Phil Hulett.
Ellis will look to build off his 23-save shutout win over San Jose on Tuesday. He's 2-1-0 with a 2.29 GAA and a .902 save percentage in four outings in 2026-27. Anaheim is 5-6-1 and has averaged 3.08 goals per game this campaign.
-
Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Making home start versus Sabres
Husso will tend the twine at home versus the Sabres on Thursday, Ducks PA Announcer Phil Hulett reports.
Husso has gone 1-2-0 with 10 goals allowed on 88 shots over four appearances this season. Lukas Dostal has struggled in his last couple of outings, so Husso will get a chance to play. The Sabres have scored just nine goals over their last four games.

Jared Spurgeon D | MIN
Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Heads to IR
Spurgeon (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Spurgeon's move to IR cleared the roster spot for the Wild to acquire Cameron Crotty off waivers from the Senators. The Wild have dealt with a number of injured on the blue line this season. Spurgeon is considered week-to-week and won't be eligible to return until Tuesday's game versus the Flyers at the earliest, though it sounds like his absence will stretch beyond that.
