Ducks' Laurent Brossoit: Hits waivers Sunday
Brossoit was placed on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Mads Sogaard G | TB
Lightning's Mads Sogaard: Hits waivers Sunday
Sogaard was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Sunday.
Sogaard signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Lightning in the offseason after he was a part of the Senators' goalie carousel in 2025-26 during Linus Ullmark's absence. The 25-year-old Sogaard primarily played with AHL Belleville, where he posted a 7-13-4 record, a 3.69 GAA and an .874 save percentage across 27 regular-season outings. He'll look to battle for AHL Syracuse's No. 1 spot between the pipes with the departure of Brandon Halverson.

Aleksei Kolosov G | PHI
Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Loaned to AHL affiliate
Kolosov was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Kolosov posted a 15-21-2 record with a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage across 38 appearances for AHL Lehigh Valley during the 2025-26 regular season. Kolosov's demotion to the minors likely bodes well for Dan Vladar's (upper body) availability for Opening Night against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Nikita Tolopilo G | VAN
Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Hits waivers Sunday
Tolopilo was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Sunday, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Following Vancouver's claim of Leevi Merilainen off waivers earlier in the week, Tolopilo was bumped down the depth chart. The 26-year-old backstop split time between the majors and minors last season. With Vancouver, he struggled behind a lackluster defensive core, posting a 6-11-2 record, a 3.61 GAA and an .881 save percentage across 21 regular-season appearances. If he clears waivers over the next 24 hours, he's expected to serve as the organization's No. 3 netminder and the lead option for AHL Abbotsford.

Kaapo Kahkonen G | MON
Canadiens' Kaapo Kahkonen: Lands on waivers
Kahkonen was moved to waivers Sunday with the intention of assigning him to AHL Laval.

Remi Poirier G | NJ
Devils' Remi Poirier: Claimed by New Jersey
Poirier was claimed off waivers by New Jersey on Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
With Dallas releasing Poirier on Saturday, New Jersey took notice and scooped him up to add to their organization depth. However, the team also opted to make room for him on the active roster by placing David Rittich on waivers. Because of this, the 24-year-old Poirier has a chance to open the season on New Jersey's Opening Night roster if Rittich is claimed off waivers by a different organization and if they favor the young netminder over Nico Daws. Poirier posted strong numbers with AHL Texas in 2025-26, where he compiled a 27-19-8 record, a 2.61 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 52 regular-season outings.

Pheonix Copley G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Pheonix Copley: Assigned to AHL
Copley was assigned to AHL Cleveland on Sunday.
Copley successfully cleared waivers Thursday before staying with the team for a little longer. However, he is poised to begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

Dylan Garand G | NYR
Rangers' Dylan Garand: Headed to waivers
Garand Mollie Walker of the New York Post on waivers by the Rangers on Sunday, per Mollie Walker.
After a highly anticipated training camp battle between Garand and Joonas Korpisalo, the Rangers opted to go with the latter. While Korpisalo has more NHL experience, sources close to the team disclosed that the Rangers believe Garand needs more time playing as a No. 1 option to aid in his development. The 24-year-old backstop was excellent in his first three NHL outings last season, where he posted a 2-0-1 record, a 1.62 GAA and a .948 save percentage. While he had an up and down season with AHL Hartford across 36 regular-season appearances a year ago, the Rangers will risk losing him through waivers in an effort to get him more reps as a true lead option in the minors.
-
Matt Tomkins G | TB
Oilers' Matt Tomkins: Waived for AHL demotion
Tomkins was placed on waivers Sunday to be loaned to AHL Bakersfield.
Tomkins went 20-13-7 with a 2.98 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 42 appearances with Edmonton's top minor-league affiliate in the 2025-26 regular season. If he clears waivers, he should see plenty of action for AHL Bakersfield again during the 2026-27 campaign.

Clay Stevenson G | WPG
Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Ends up on waivers
Stevenson was placed on waivers by the Capitals on Sunday.
Stevenson was the main competition for Charlie Lindgren's roster spot in training camp, but the Capitals opted to stick with the veteran. The 27-year-old Stevenson had a solid stint in the NHL last season, where he posted a 3-1-0 record, a 2.00 GAA and a .921 save percentage across four regular-season games. With AHL Hershey, he was nearly just as effective over a larger body of work, compiling an 18-13-4 record, a 2.62 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 37 regular-season appearances. He's set to be the organization's No. 3 netminder and could once again see NHL work in the 2026-27 season if either Lindgren or Logan Thompson suffer an injury.
