  • Devils' Remi Poirier: Claimed by New Jersey

Poirier was claimed off waivers by New Jersey on Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. With Dallas releasing Poirier on Saturday, New Jersey took notice and scooped him up to add to their organization depth. However, the team also opted to make room for him on the active roster by placing David Rittich on waivers. Because of this, the 24-year-old Poirier has a chance to open the season on New Jersey's Opening Night roster if Rittich is claimed off waivers by a different organization and if they favor the young netminder over Nico Daws. Poirier posted strong numbers with AHL Texas in 2025-26, where he compiled a 27-19-8 record, a 2.61 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 52 regular-season outings.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Hits waivers Saturday

Poirier was placed on waivers by the Stars on Saturday, per PuckPedia. Poirier was the hero in the Stars' preseason outing Wednesday, where he made 24 saves in a 2-0 shutout win over the Wild. The 24-year-old backstop was an effective option for AHL Texas between the pipes last season, where he compiled a 27-19-8 record, a 2.61 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 52 regular-season outings. Given that Poirier was kept on the roster longer than Brandon Halverson, the former will likely be the organization's No. 3 option if either Jake Oettinger or Casey DeSmith are injured. However, Poirier will likely be challenged for playing time in the minors by Halverson, who had a solid showing with AHL Syracuse last season.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Expected to start Saturday

Poirier is set to start on the road against St. Louis in Saturday's preseason game, per Lou Korac of NHL.com. Poirier had a 2.61 GAA and a .912 save percentage in 52 regular-season appearances with AHL Texas in 2025-26. Although he's getting a chance to show what he can do during the preseason, the 24-year-old is expected to start the upcoming campaign in the minors.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Brought up from minors

Poirier was recalled from AHL Texas on Tuesday. Poirier figures to serve as the backup to Casey DeSmith on Wednesday, as starter Jake Oettinger is still making his way back from the Olympics. Fantasy managers can likely expect the 24-year-old Poirier to be shipped back to the minors after Wednesday's matchup.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Earns shutout over Griffins

Poirier posted a 29-save shutout in AHL Texas' 2-0 win over Grand Rapids on Friday. This was Grand Rapids' second regulation loss of the season, so that's some impressive work for Poirier. It's been tough times in Texas for the 24-year-old goalie, who is 9-10-4 with a 2.64 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 23 contests this season, numbers roughly in line with his work last year. Poirier won't get many looks in Dallas as long as Jake Oettinger and Casey DeSmith are both available.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Sent back to AHL

Poirier was loaned to AHL Texas on Monday. With Casey DeSmith (personal) returning to the active roster ahead of Tuesday's game against Carolina, Poirier will return to AHL in a corresponding move. The 24-year-old netminder served as the backup for Jake Oettinger during Sunday's contest against Montreal, but Poirier still hasn't made his NHL debut yet. Through 22 appearances with Texas this season, Poirier has an 8-10-4 record, a .903 save percentage and a 2.77 GAA.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Signs two-year contract

Poirier signed a two-year, two-way contract with Dallas on Monday. Poirier posted a 17-11-2 record with a 2.50 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 31 regular-season appearances with AHL Texas in 2024-25. The 23-year-old netminder doesn't have any NHL experience yet and will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Stars' Remi Poirier: Recalled from minors

Poirier was summoned from AHL Texas on Saturday. The 22-year-old netminder was 17-16-4 with a 3.19 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 38 games during the regular season. Poirier has yet to play a game at the NHL level.
