Jacob Markstrom G | FLA
Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Starting Monday
Markstrom (upper body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the crease in Monday's home matchup against Detroit, Doug Plagens of the Panthers Radio Network reports.
Markstrom missed five games after suffering an upper-body injury during a team practice. He has a 3-1-1 record, one shutout, a 2.21 GAA and an .897 save percentage in six outings this season. Detroit (6-5-3) is tied for 23rd in the league with 2.79 goals per game this campaign.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Beaten four times Sunday
Thompson stopped 24 of 28 shots in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Wild. Minnesota's fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Thompson surrendered two goals in the opening six minutes but kept Washington within striking distance until Maxim Shabanov's late power-play tally. The netminder finished with an .857 save percentage as the Capitals' three-game winning streak ended. Despite the disappointing outing, Thompson's established starting role and Washington's competitive roster should continue providing substantial fantasy value. His uneven record may raise eyebrows, though. He's gone 5-4-0 with a 2.93 GAA and an .898 save percentage in nine starts.

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Makes 26 saves in road win
Wallstedt stopped 26 of 27 shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
Wallstedt delivered a strong performance, finishing with a .963 save percentage while holding Washington to a single second-period goal. The young netminder made several important third-period stops to preserve Minnesota's narrow advantage before the Wild pulled away late. His continued efficiency behind a team that has allowed two goals or fewer in five of its last six games strengthens his fantasy outlook. He's been excellent so far with a 9-2-3 record, a 2.06 GAA and a .920 save percentage in his 14 appearances to date.

Stuart Skinner G | WPG
Jets' Stuart Skinner: Pulled after allowing five goals
Skinner stopped 12 of 17 shots before being replaced in Sunday's 7-0 loss to the Hurricanes.
Skinner endured another difficult outing, surrendering five goals before being pulled at 9:09 of the second period. It was the second straight start in which he allowed five goals and was pulled from the game. Winnipeg has now lost nine straight games, and Skinner's recent struggles have significantly damaged his fantasy reliability. His starting opportunities could come under increased scrutiny if his efficiency doesn't improve.
-
Clay Stevenson G | WPG
Jets' Clay Stevenson: Concedes twice in relief appearance
Stevenson stopped 13 of 15 shots in Sunday's 7-0 loss to the Hurricanes after replacing Stuart Skinner midway through the second period.
Stevenson entered with Winnipeg trailing 5-0 and surrendered two third-period goals, including a power-play tally by Mark Jankowski. Stevenson carries considerable fantasy risk any time he starts, given the Jets' defensive struggles this season. The 27-year-old netminder has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.61 GAA and an .870 save percentage in his five appearances this season.
-
Pyotr Kochetkov G | CAR
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Posts shutout Sunday
Kochetkov stopped all 26 shots he faced in Sunday's 7-0 win over the Jets.
Kochetkov recorded his second shutout of the season and extended his season-opening winning streak to 10 games, establishing a Hurricanes franchise record. He also became just the third goaltender in NHL history to win each of his first 10 appearances in a season. With Carolina playing outstanding hockey and providing substantial offensive support, Kochetkov has established himself as an elite fantasy option. Aside from the 10-game winning run, Kochetkov owns a 1.49 GAA and .929 save percentage to open the campaign.
-
Jonas Johansson G | OTT
Senators' Jonas Johansson: Stumbles against Ducks
Johansson stopped 27 of 33 shots in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Ducks.
Johansson was working the second half of a back-to-back, which was always going to make this a challenging start. However, the Senators started well, breaking out to a 3-0 lead after one period. Johansson proceeded to squander that advantage, though he's hardly the only one to blame -- the Ducks cashed in on four of their five power-play chances. Johansson has now allowed 16 goals on 105 shots over his first four games of the campaign. The Senators' crease is one to avoid until Linus Ullmark (lower body) returns. Ottawa's road trip wraps up in Buffalo on Wednesday.
-
Laurent Brossoit G | ANA
Ducks' Laurent Brossoit: Overcomes rough first period
Brossoit stopped 19 of 22 shots in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Senators.
Brossoit didn't look very good in the first period, when he gave up three goals on seven shots. He was able to lock in after that, and the Ducks' offense rewarded him with a big burst of scoring to get the comeback win. This was Brossoit's first NHL win since the 2023-24 campaign with the Jets. Anaheim is now carrying three goalies on the roster with Brossoit joining Lukas Dostal and Ville Husso. It's possible all three netminders will get some work during the Ducks' three-game road trip, which begins with a soft matchup Tuesday in Vancouver.
-
Dylan Garand G | NYR
Rangers' Dylan Garand: No match for Oilers
Garand stopped 21 of 24 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Garand wasn't able to stand up against the Oilers' top players. This was a fourth straight loss for Garand, who has allowed 15 goals on 98 shots in that span. He's now 4-6-1 with a 2.73 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 11 appearances this season. Garand and James Reimer look likely to settle into a timeshare in the crease unless one of them can string some positive results together. The Rangers are set to host the Blues on Tuesday.
-
Matt Tomkins G | EDM
Oilers' Matt Tomkins: Sharp in win
Tomkins stopped 27 of 28 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
This was Tomkins' first game at the NHL level since the 2023-24 campaign. He was able to keep things rolling for the Oilers, who have won three straight games. The 32-year-old will continue to fill the backup role behind Tristan Jarry while Devon Levi (undisclosed) is out. Tomkins isn't likely to get a lot more work during this stint in the NHL -- the Oilers don't have another back-to-back for two weeks.
