  • Golden Knights' Antti Tuomisto: Lands on waivers

Tuomisto was waived by the Golden Knights on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.

Tuomisto signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract with Vegas in early July but is slated to head to the minors for the start of the regular season if he clears waivers. He recorded eight goals, 21 assists and 34 PIM across 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Grand Rapids last year.

  • Senators' Christian Kyrou: Placed on waivers

Kyrou was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Kyrou wasn't extended a qualifying offer from the Flyers during the offseason, but he signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa a few days later. He'll be left off the Senators' Opening Night roster and should head to the minors if he clears waivers. He generated 10 goals, 24 assists and 16 PIM across 55 regular-season appearances with AHL Lehigh Valley last year.

  • Lightning's Maxim Groshev: Heading to waivers

Groshev was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Sunday.

Groshev signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Lightning in the offseason after another solid year in the organization. He made his NHL debut during the 2025-26 campaign, where he recorded an assist across just two regular-season outings. The 24-year-old winger is headed into his fourth season with AHL Syracuse, where he will continue his development in hopes of being a depth winger for the team in the near future.

  • Canadiens' Maksymilian Szuber: Hits waivers

Szuber was placed on waivers Sunday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval.

Szuber notched 11 goals and 27 points in 65 games for AHL Tucson during the 2025-26 regular season. Montreal acquired him from Utah in the offseason and signed him to a one-year, two-way contract in the summer.

  • Lightning's Michael Callahan: Sent to waiver wire

Callahan was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Sunday.

Callahan spent the 2025-26 campaign in Boston's organization before he inked a one-year deal with their division rival. The former AHL Providence alternate captain was a solid contributor each of the last four seasons, and he's coming off a season where he set a career high of 14 assists across 56 regular-season outings in 2025-26. He'll likely factor into a top-four role with AHL Syracuse to open the upcoming season.

  • Ethan Samson D | MON

Canadiens' Ethan Samson: Lands on waivers

Samson was waived Sunday for the purpose of being loaned to AHL Laval.

Samson notched five goals and 18 points in 40 AHL regular-season appearances between Lehigh Valley and Syracuse in 2025-26. He signed a one-year, two-way contract with Montreal in July.

  • Senators' Samuel Bolduc: Waived by Ottawa

Bolduc was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Bolduc signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators in late June, and he'll presumably begin the year with AHL Belleville if he goes unclaimed on waivers. He made 68 regular-season appearances at the AHL level between Ontario and Belleville last year, recording six goals, 25 assists and 24 PIM.

  • Henry Thrun D | WPG

Jets' Henry Thrun: Heading to waivers

Thrun was placed on waivers by the Jets on Sunday, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

Thrun signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Jets in the offseason, but he'll begin his tenure in the organization in the minors. The 25-year-old blueliner had a short stint with the Maple Leafs last season, but he primarily played with AHL Toronto, posting 23 points in 55 regular-season outings. He'll likely be on the call-up radar for the Jets if the team has any injuries on the blue line, but he'll likely suit up with AHL Manitoba in the interim.

  • Blues' Justin Barron: Scooped up by Blues

Barron was claimed off waivers by the Blues, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

After the Predators waived Barron on Saturday, the Blues took advantage of the opportunity of acquiring him as a depth blueliner for the organization. The 24-year-old blueliner primarily played in the NHL during the 2025-26 campaign, where he compiled nine assists, 31 shots on net, 37 hits and 60 blocked shots across 52 regular-season outings. He'll head to the active roster before potentially being optioned to AHL Springfield.

  • Bruins' Henri Jokiharju: Heading to waivers

Jokiharju was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Sunday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe.

Jokiharju was on the fringe of making Boston's Opening Night roster after the team signed right-shot defensemen Will Borgen and Connor Clifton in the offseason. The 27-year-old Jokiharju played in half of Boston's regular-season games during 2025-26, where he posted two goals, 15 points, 40 shots on net and 37 blocked shots. If he goes unclaimed over the next 24 hours, he will likely start the season playing big minutes for AHL Providence. However, he could easily return to Boston if the team runs into injury trouble within the defensive core.
