Dontae Fleming WR | MIN
Dontae Fleming: Falls short of 53-man roster
The Vikings waived Flaming on Tuesday.
Fleming brought speed to the Vikings' receiver room after running a 4.44 40-yard dash, but his production at Tulane was mediocre overall. The 23-year-old finished fourth on the team with 71 receiving yards this preseason.

Michael Carter RB | ARI
Michael Carter: Gets cut by Cardinals
The Cardinals released Carter on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
In nine games with the Cardinals over the last two seasons, both of which he worked with offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, Carter turned 57 carries into 280 yards (4.9 YPC) and one touchdown and 20 catches (on 22 targets) into 90 yards and another TD. While those numbers are respectable, he and fellow RB DeeJay Dallas didn't make the cut after the preseason, while Emari Demercado and Zonovan Knight did behind the top duo of James Conner and Trey Benson. Carter can sign with any team but may end up back on Arizona's practice squad, where he spent most of the 2024 campaign.

Robert Tonyan TE | KC
Robert Tonyan: Released by Kansas City
Tonyan was released by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Tonyan signed with the Chiefs in March and was unable to do enough during the preseason to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. The 31-year-old tight end recorded just three catches for 49 yards in his preseason action. Tonyan will now look to find a role with another team ahead of the 2025 season.

Jeshaun Jones WR | MIN
Jeshaun Jones: Lands on waivers
The Vikings waived Jones on Tuesday.
Jones led the Vikings this preseason with 100 receiving yards on nine receptions, but he fell short of a roster spot for the second straight season. The 25-year-old receiver was quite productive at college in Maryland, but he'll aim for a practice-squad role once again.

Da'Quan Felton WR | NYG
Da'Quan Felton: Waived with injury designation
Felton (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.
Felton failed to appear in any preseason contests with New York, which could be due to the undisclosed injury he's apparently dealing with. If the wide receiver goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll revert to injured reserve with the Giants.
-
Dalen Cambre WR | NYG
Dalen Cambre: Cut by New York
Cambre was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.
Cambre signed with New York as an undrafted free agent in April, reeling in two catches for 45 yards in his lone preseason appearance. The wide receiver earned first-team reps early in training camp, and if he goes unclaimed on waivers, he's a likely candidate for the Giants' practice squad.

Gavin Bartholomew TE | MIN
Vikings' Gavin Bartholomew: Moves to PUP list
Bartholomew (back) was placed on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.
The rookie sixth-round pick out of Pittsburgh missed the entire training camp and will now sit out at least four games. Bartholomew put together a solid collegiate career but never surpassed 326 yards or four touchdowns in a season. Once he returns, he'll look to usurp undrafted rookie Benjamin Yurosek for the No. 3 tight end job.

Jude McAtamney K | NYG
Jude McAtamney: Let go by New York
McAtamney was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.
McAtamney inked a reserve/future contract with New York in January, going 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts, including a 42-yarder, while making all 11 of his PATs over the Giants three preseason contests. The kicker will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll likely stick around the Giants' practice squad for the second straight year.
-
Nick Vannett TE | MIN
Nick Vannett: Released by Vikings
The Vikings released Vannett on Tuesday.
Veteran tight ends Vannett and Giovanni Ricci were let go by the Vikings on cutdown day. Vannett finished the preseason with three receptions for 22 yards. The 32-year-old played all 17 games with the Titans last season and posted 17 receptions for 135 yards and three touchdowns. His experience makes him a strong practice-squad candidate if he can't latch on elsewhere.

Irvin Charles WR | NYJ
Jets' Irvin Charles: Moved to reserve/PUP list
The Jets placed Charles (knee) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.
Charles will be required to miss a minimum of four games to start the 2025 season after being placed on the reserve/PUP list. The 28-year-old wideout tore his ACL in Week 14 last season and is not ready to return to the field as he continues to recover.
