Rams' Myles Garrett: Will practice Wednesday
Head coach Sean McVay said Garrett (knee) will practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Garrett has been on injured reserve since aggravating a left knee injury in Week 1 that required arthroscopic surgery. In order to be able to practice Wednesday, the Rams designated him for return from IR, per the NFL's transaction log. Garrett's activity level bears watching as the week goes on to get a sense of his odds to play Sunday at Washington.

Rams' Myles Garrett: In line to practice this week
Coach Sean McVay indicated Monday that Garrett (knee) is on track to practice this week, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Garrett hasn't practiced since aggravating a left knee injury in the Rams' season-opener, a setback that was followed by arthroscopic surgery. Once the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year re-takes the practice field, the Rams will have a 21-day window in which to restore Garrett to their active roster. It remains to be seen if this weekend's game against the Commanders is in play, but either way Garrett's looming return to the lineup, whenever it happens, will be a major boost to the Rams defense.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Likely to practice in Week 9
The Rams are optimistic that Garrett (knee) will be able to return to practice in Week 9, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Garrett hasn't practiced since aggravating a left knee injury in the Rams' season-opening loss to the 49ers in Australia and then undergoing arthroscopic surgery. Though head coach Sean McVay has been non-committal on a potential target date for Garrett's return, the star edge rusher will take a notable step toward playing once the Rams officially open his 21-day practice window. Even if he's back on the field for the start of Week 9 prep, Garrett is far from a lock to play next Sunday in Washington versus the Commanders, as the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year may need more than three practices to get himself back in playing condition following a seven-week layoff from action.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Won't return in Week 8
Head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that the Rams won't open Garrett's (knee) practice window this week, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
Garrett underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee after Week 1 and has been on injured reserve in the meantime. Following McVay's comments, Garrett will miss Sunday's contest against the Chargers, which will mark his seventh consecutive absence. Garrett's next chance to suit up is Sunday, Nov. 8, at Washington.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Garrett (knee) won't have his 21-day practice window opened this week, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
The Rams haven't indicated that Garrett has experienced any setbacks since undergoing arthroscopic left knee surgery following the team's Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Australia, but he looks like he'll need more time to complete his rehab before getting back on the field for practice. The ongoing absence of Garrett will continue to loom large heading into Sunday's game against the Raiders, especially with one of the Rams' other key pass rushers (defensive tackle Kobie Turner) set to join Garrett on injured reserve after sustaining a groin injury in the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Not ready to return to practice
Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Tuesday that Garrett (knee) will not return to practice this week and will not play against the Cardinals on Sunday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Garrett underwent knee surgery following the Rams' Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Australia and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. He's eligible to return from IR now that he's missed the four-game minimum, but Garrett has not progressed enough in his recovery to practice, even in a limited capacity. A six-week recovery timeline for the superstar pass rusher's return was reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and ESPN in late September, and if that timeline is accurate, then Garrett could be back in action for Week 7 against the Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 25.
