Mumpfield recorded six snaps on offense and two snaps on special teams during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.

Eight different players saw targets from Matthew Stafford on Sunday, but only Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington (who did have a five-yard rush) failed to record a target out of the Rams' group of wideouts. Given Mumpfield's rookie status, this isn't a real surprise, but fantasy managers hoping to see what the seventh-rounder can do in regular season action may be waiting for a while given the commanding snap share of Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell through one game.

Smith caught his only target for 36 yards and returned two punts for 21 yards during Sunday's 14-9 victory against the Texans.

Despite Smith's role appearing to remain the exact same from last year to present, he managed to make the most of his pair of snaps on offense. Smith caught a deep ball from Matthew Stafford in the third quarter for 36 yards, a key play on the Rams' second and final touchdown drive of the day. Despite the impressive catch, Smith's value for the Rams will likely remain on special teams for the duration of the season, with the Titans next up on the docket Week 2.

The 49ers are awaiting the results of imaging done on Jennings' shoulder injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Kyle Shanahan noted Monday that Jennings' initial test looked okay, but there are still more results to come. The wideout's status thus is worth monitoring in the days ahead, but at this stage Shanahan believes that Jennings has a chance to play Sunday against the Saints, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. With Brandon Aiyuk (knee) still on the reserve/PUP list, Jennings now banged-up and Jordan Watkins dealing with an ankle injury, Ricky Pearsall currently is the 49ers' top healthy WR, a context that could lead to some combo of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Russell Gage, Kendrick Bourne and Skyy Moore seeing added opportunities Week 2.

The Steelers released McCutcheon from their practice squad Monday.

McCutcheon spent the offseason and training camp with the Steelers and caught five passes for 66 yards and one touchdown during the preseason. Pittsburgh opted to swap out McCutcheon for fellow WR Rakim Jarrett on the practice squad Monday.

Jarrett signed with the Steelers' practice squad Monday.

Jarrett failed to make the Bucs' 53-man roster this summer. The 24-year-old wide receiver has appeared in 20 career regular-season contests with Tampa Bay, recording 13 catches for 184 scoreless yards on 20 targets.

Brown (knee) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate.

Brown also was listed on the Commanders' Week 1 injury report while managing a knee issue, but he approached the team's season-opening win over the Giants without an injury designation and caught two of his three targets for 27 yards while logging a 47 percent snap share in the contest. Assuming no setbacks, it looks like the wideout's listed limitations Monday could be maintenance-related, with added context regarding Brown's status for Thursday night's game against the Packers set to arrive no later than Tuesday's practice report.

Hyatt did not log any snaps Sunday in a Week 1 loss to the Commanders.

There was no chance to see what kind of chemistry Hyatt could have with new Giants QB Russell Wilson, as the third-year wideout didn't even get on the field. As expected, Malik Nabers dominated passing targets with 12, while Wan'Dale Robinson got eight and Darius Slayton logged just one. Meanwhile, the only other New York wideout to even get any snaps on offense was Beaux Collins, who was on the field for two plays. Hyatt's fantasy viability was already extremely shaky given that he's No. 4 on New York's wideout depth chart, and Sunday's lack of action further underscores that he's unlikely to make much of an impact this year barring at least one injury ahead of him in the pecking order.

Wicks (calf) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated injury report, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

The Packers didn't hold practice Monday, but Wicks was joined by two position mates on the report, as Jayden Reed (foot) was listed as a DNP and rookie Matthew Golden (ankle) was tagged as limited. Wicks himself has been tending to a calf injury since the early days of training camp, but he suited up Sunday versus the Lions and gathered in both of his targets for 30 yards while playing 46 percent (22 of 48) of the offensive snaps. Wednesday's practice/injury report may give some clarity on his status in advance of Thursday's contest against the Commanders.

Golden was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate due to an ankle injury, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

The Packers' Week 1 injury report also featured three wide receivers, but Week 2's initial version has Golden swapping in for fellow rookie Savion Williams, while Jayden Reed (foot, DNP) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf, LP) remain listed. On a positive note, Golden would have had a cap on his reps if the team had practiced Monday, and he'll have a pair of opportunities to get some more on-field work ahead of Thursday's game against the Commanders. Golden started in his pro debut Sunday versus the Lions and recorded two catches (on two targets) for 16 yards and one punt return for 11 yards while playing 48 percent (23 of 48) of Green Bay's offensive snaps.

Whittington rushed once for five yards and returned two kicks for 60 yards during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.

The second-year wideout was a victim of bad luck in his first game of the season; he had a lengthy 74-yard kick return called back on a holding penalty and a 34-yard reception called back on another holding penalty. Whittington was on the field for half of the Rams' snaps on offense, a noticeable bump over his usage in the second half of his rookie campaign and slightly more than Tutu Atwell. The duo are seemingly still battling for the No. 3 wideout spot on the depth chart heading into a Week 2 contest against a Titans defense that just limited the Broncos to 176 passing yards Week 1.
