Jayden Reed WR | GB
Packers' Jayden Reed: Likely sitting out vs. Jets
Reed (foot) is not expected to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Jets, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Reed has been on and off the practice field throughout the early stages of training camp, first with a toe injury and now due to a foot issue. Green Bay is expected to rest the third-year starter, meaning Reed's next opportunity to suit up for preseason action will come Aug. 16 on the road at Indianapolis. Dontayvion Wicks (calf) is also expected to sit out versus New York.

Josh Palmer WR | BUF
Bills' Joshua Palmer: Two grabs in preseason opener
Palmer caught two of three targets for 21 yards in Saturday's 34-25 preseason loss to the Giants.
All three targets came with Mitchell Trubisky under center, as Josh Allen sat out Buffalo's first exhibition contest. Palmer has been getting some buzz in training camp as a receiver who can provide Allen with a deep threat to complement Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid underneath, but the former Charger may not get much of a chance to show chemistry with his new starting QB in the preseason. Palmer's best campaign while catching passes from Justin Herbert came in 2022, when he turned 107 targets into 72 catches for 769 yards and three TDs over 16 regular-season games.

Wan'Dale Robinson WR | TEN
Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Makes brief appearance Saturday
Robinson caught his only target for 11 yards in Saturday's 34-25 preseason win over the Bills.
Malik Nabers (shoulder) and Darius Slayton (undisclosed) were unavailable Saturday and Jalin Hyatt was also held out, leaving Robinson as the only established Giants wide receiver in the starting lineup for the team's exhibition opener. He was also the only wideout to catch a pass from Russell Wilson, as both of them checked out of the game after one drive. Robinson appears secure in his slot role, but after seeing a career-high 140 targets in 2024 and turning them into just 699 yards and three TDs on 93 catches, his volume is highly likely to regress, especially if rookie QB Jaxson Dart looks to push the ball downfield more often should he take over the reins of the offense.

Jalin Hyatt WR | NYG
Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Doesn't travel with team Saturday
Head coach Brian Daboll said Saturday that Hyatt is working through an undisclosed injury and did not travel with the team for Saturday's preseason game against the Bills, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
The nature and severity of Hyatt's injury is unknown, but it prevented the 2023 third-rounder from travelling with the team for Saturday's exhibition contest. The Giants' next preseason game takes place Saturday, Aug. 16 against the Jets, and Hyatt will need to return to practice this upcoming week in order to have a chance at playing. With Hyatt, Darius Slayton (undisclosed) and Malik Nabers (shoulder) all sidelined, there are opportunities for Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Zach Pascal and Montrell Washington to get more reps with the first-team offense alongside Wan'Dale Robinson.

Rondale Moore WR | MIN
Vikings' Rondale Moore: Carted off with leg injury
Moore suffered an apparent lower left leg injury on a punt return and was carted off during the second quarter of Saturday's preseason game against Houston, Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Moore is competing for the punt return and depth receiver role with the Vikings, but it looks like he suffered a significant injury in the team's first preseason game.

Efton Chism III WR | NE
Patriots' Efton Chism: Catches six passes Friday
Chism caught six of his eight targets for 50 yards and a 12-yard TD in Friday's 48-18 preseason win over the Commanders.
The UDFA out of Eastern Washington also returned a punt for 11 yards in the contest. Chism faces plenty of competition for slotting in a crowded New England WR corps, but even if the 5-foot-10, 198-pounder doesn't land a spot on the team's initial roster, he'd be a prime practice squad candidate.
-
Justin Jefferson WR | MIN
Vikings' Justin Jefferson: Not in line to play Saturday
Jefferson (hamstring) is not slated to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Texans.
No surprise here, given that Jefferson is managing a mild left hamstring strain that he sustained July 24. It remains to be seen if the wideout is a candidate to play in the Vikings' Aug. 16 preseason contest against the Patriots, but there's little incentive for him to be rushed back into game action, with his Week 1 availability remaining the priority here.
-
Darius Slayton WR | NYG
Giants' Darius Slayton: Unlikely to play Saturday
Based on his absence from pre-game warmups, Slayton (undisclosed) is not expected to play in the Giants' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Malik Nabers (shoulder) and Jalin Hyatt also didn't partake in pre-game warmups. If Slayton, Nabers and Hyatt are indeed sidelined, that would give Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Zach Pascal the opportunity to work alongside Wan'Dale Robinson in the first-team offense. Slayton didn't participate in Thursday's practice due to an undisclosed injury, so the Giants appear to be taking the conservative route with the veteran wideout Saturday. The Giants' second exhibition contest takes place Saturday, Aug. 16 against the Jets.
-
Malik Nabers WR | NYG
Giants' Malik Nabers: Not on track to play Saturday
Based on pre-game warmups, Nabers (shoulder) is not in line to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Biils, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
The same applies to Darius Slayton, who missed practice Thursday with an undisclosed injury. For his part, Nabers has been managing a shoulder issue, so it looks like the the Giants will play it safe with the wideout Saturday. The team's second preseason contest is Aug. 16 against the Jets.

Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Limited in return to practice
Marshall (knee) was a limited participant in Saturday's training camp practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Marshall did not play in the Eagles' 34-27 preseason win over the Bengals on Thursday due to a knee injury. He was cleared to return to practice Saturday, and while it was in a limited capacity, he did participate in team drills with the second-team offense, per Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. Barring any setbacks, Marshall appears on track to play in the Eagles' second exhibition game against the Browns on Saturday, Aug. 16.
