  • Rondale Moore WR | MIN

Cardinals' Rondale Moore: Another meager effort

Moore hauled in three of five targets for 24 yards and had two carries for one yard during Thursday's 24-21 defeat to the Packers.

Moore has been hit and miss through the first eight games of his career, with one outing of more than 100 receiving yards, two more with at least 68 yards from scrimmage and five with no more than 30 total yards. Plus, his only touchdown came during that 100-yard effort Week 2. Prior to Thursday's performance, Moore fumbled twice but didn't lose either of them. He wasn't so lucky in this contest, as a punt glanced of his fingertips and was recovered by the Packers, setting them up at the Cardinals' two-yard line, and they kicked a 21-yard field goal four plays later. The rookie second-round pick will seek a bounce-back effort this coming Sunday in San Francisco.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Overcomes tough matchup for TD

Evans brought in two of four targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 36-27 loss to the Saints on Sunday.

For most of the afternoon, a matchup that has traditionally frustrated Evans throughout his career was playing out as usual, with star cornerback Marshon Lattimore doing a good job nullifying the star wideout. However, Evans got a rare taste of success against his old nemesis when he beat Lattimore on a corner route late in the third quarter for a 41-yard touchdown grab that he recorded despite the veteran corner getting flagged for pass interference on the play. It was an otherwise quiet contest for the eighth-year wideout, but the touchdown was his sixth of the last four games. Evans will rest up during the Week 9 bye before getting a crack at the vulnerable Washington secondary on the road Week 10.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Josh Palmer: First career touchdown

Palmer caught his lone target for 24 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Patriots.

Palmer's score game on a junk-time drive, but it was an impressive catch nevertheless as the 2021 third-round pick plucked the ball away from two defenders on an underthrown pass. The rookie has rarely been used this season, ceding the majority of the playing time to Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Jalen Guyton.

  • Deonte Harty WR | BAL

Saints' Deonte Harris: Totals 57 yards

Harris caught three of seven targets for 35 yards while rushing once for 22 yards during Sunday's 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.

Despite entering the game with a questionable tag, Harris led the team in targets and trailed only Alvin Kamara in yards from scrimmage. However, he wasn't able to do much with his opportunities in the passing game, and this is only the second time in six games in which Harris has seen more than three targets. The impending return of Michael Thomas (ankle) won't help his consistency in that area, and the possible extended absence of Jameis Winston (knee) would almost certainly be a detriment to his efficiency.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Another disappointing day

Williams caught two of his five targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Patriots.

Two straight difficult defenses have baffled the Chargers offense and Williams has bared the brunt of the struggles. One game after producing a dismal 2-27 line against the Ravens, the Patriots were able to scheme an effective strategy for Williams, holding the big-bodied wideout to yet another dismal performance. While fantasy managers are obviously disappointed in the slump, Williams has proven to be a staple of an effective Chargers offense, and his robust role should have a good chance to reemerge against an Eagles defense that has struggled against good offenses this season.

  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Finds end zone

Smith caught three of three targets for 33 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.

Smith caught a touchdown from Jameis Winston (knee) early on and he almost had a second from Trevor Siemian only to be tackled on the one-yard line. However, with Winston seemingly set to miss time, the modest upside Smith once held takes a hit, as New Orleans is likely to lean on the run game regardless of whether Taysom Hill (concussion) or Trevor Siemian is under center in Week 9 against Atlanta.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Does little with big volume

Meyers caught four of nine targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Chargers.

He tied Kendrick Bourne for the team lead in receptions and led New England in targets, but Meyers' longest grab went for only 17 yards as the Pats weren't able to produce much offense through the air. The 37 yards were a season low for the third-year receiver, but Meyers may have a tough time producing much more in Week 9 against the Panthers.

  • Saints' Marquez Callaway: Handles five targets

Callaway caught three of five targets for 30 yards during Sunday's 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.

Now seven games into the year, Callaway has topped 50 receiving yards just twice. Things won't get any easier if Jameis Winston (knee) is forced to miss time, as New Orleans is likely to revert to a highly run-heavy gameplan if Taysom Hill (concussion) or Trevor Siemian needs to run the offense. Combined with the return of Tre'Quan Smith and the impending return of Michael Thomas (ankle), it wouldn't be surprising if Callaway's huge Week 5 performance against Washington goes down as an anomaly come season's end.

  • Nelson Agholor WR | BAL

Patriots' Nelson Agholor: Leading receiver in win

Agholor caught three of six targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Chargers.

Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne caught more passes (four each), but Agholor led the Pats in receiving yards on the afternoon thanks largely to a 44-yard grab in the first quarter that set up New England's first TD. Agholor has caught no more than three passes in seven straight games, giving him limited upside heading into a Week 9 tilt against the Panthers.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Chargers' Keenan Allen: Leading receiver in loss

Allen snared six of his 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the 27-24 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

It's at least reassuring for fantasy managers Allen can survive a poor outing offensively from the Chargers, as the veteran receiver caught five passes for 50 yards in the demoralizing Week 6 drubbing by the Ravens before a similarly lackluster team performance Sunday. The Patriots' run-heavy approach seemed to discombobulate the Chargers' rhythm as quarterback Justin Herbert completed only 51 percent of his pass attempts, but the confusion seemed to impact Mike Williams (two catches for 19 yards on five attempts) far more than the ever-reliable Allen. It'll be interesting to see if the offense will become more efficient in what figures to be a favorable matchup next week against the Eagles.
