Anthony Schwartz WR | MIA
Browns' Anthony Schwartz: No impact Friday
Schwartz did not catch any of three targets in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
Schwartz played with the second-team offense late in the first quarter and into the second. He failed to hold onto one of his targets after getting hit and fumbling in last week's Hall of Fame Game. At this point, he's not looking like one of the top 53 and could lose valuable reps to others behind him on the depth chart.

Cedric Tillman WR | CLE
Browns' Cedric Tillman: Grabs two passes Friday
Tillman caught two of four targets for seven yards in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
Tillman, a third-round pick in 2023, has four catches through two preseason games. He's expected to land a roster spot, but where Tillman sits on the depth chart depends on injuries in the wide receiver room. Elijah Moore sustained a rib injury Friday, and he will join Marquise Goodwin (illness) and Jaelon Darden (leg) in the trainer's room.

Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE
Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Scores TD in first action of '23
Jeudy caught two of three targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason opener against Arizona.
Jeudy and the entire Broncos offense stumbled out of the gates Friday, failing to score on any of its first three drives. The group was determined to get something going offensively under new head coach Sean Payton, so Russell Wilson went back out for a fourth drive that ended with Jeudy running a crisp slant for an easy 21-yard score before halftime. Fantasy managers are hoping to see more of that from QB/WR duo this season now that a decorated coach like Payton joined the team this past offseason.

Mike Harley WR | MIA
Browns' Mike Harley: Hauls in TD
Harley caught one of three targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
All of Harley's activity came in the fourth quarter, which gives an indication of where he's at on the wideout depth chart. The Browns are dealing with injuries at wideout, including projected starter Elijah Moore, who sustained a rib injury Friday, which boosts Harley's chances of sticking with the team. At this point, his main competition is David Bell, Jaelon Darden (leg), Jakeem Grant, Anthony Schwartz and Austin Watkins.

David Bell WR | CLE
Browns' David Bell: Hauls in TD against Commanders
Bell caught three of four targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason loss to the Commanders.
After a disappointing rookie season, Bell saw the Browns add Elijah Moore via trade in the offseason before the team selected Cedric Tillman in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, so the pressure is on the Purdue product to step up. Bell did just that Friday, hauling in a seven-yard TD strike from Dorian Thompson-Robinson near the end of the third quarter. While a camp battle with Tillman for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart isn't what Bell envisioned when he was taken in the third round in 2022, Moore did leave Friday's contest early with a rib injury. If the issue lingers into the regular season, both depth wideouts could take on bigger roles in Week 1.

Austin Watkins Jr. WR | PHI
Browns' Austin Watkins: Making plays in preseason
Watkins caught six of eight targets for a team-high 71 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Commanders.
Watkins, who had a touchdown catch in last week's Hall of Fame Game, has made a quick impression after signing with the Browns just before the start of training camp. He was not on the field with starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, and he's competing with several receivers for a longshot bid to make the roster. However, with Elijah Moore (ribs) joining Marquise Goodwin (illness) and Jaelon Darden (leg) on the sidelines, there could be an opening if he continues to make plays.

Jahan Dotson WR | ATL
Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Finds end zone Friday
Dotson caught both his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Browns.
Washington's starters on offense were on the field for three drives, and Dotson ended his night in style by hauling in a 26-yard TD strike from Sam Howell on the last one. The Penn State product could be headed for a breakout second season in the NFL, as Dotson had already demonstrated his nose for the end zone by catching four touchdowns in his first four games in 2022 before injuries derailed his rookie campaign.
-
Calvin Austin III WR | NYG
Steelers' Calvin Austin: Makes big splash in NFL debut
Austin caught two of four targets for 73 yards and a touchdown while adding 23 rushing yards on two carries in Friday's preseason win over Tampa Bay.
Austin stole the show in the second half of Friday's exhibition win when he burned his assignee on a streak that Mason Rudolph hit him in stride with for a 67-yard touchdown. Austin, a 2022 fourth-round selection, missed his entire rookie year due to injury, but he finally got to make a healthy impression on the league. Austin is currently vying for the third spot behind starting wideouts Diontae Johnson and George Pickens on the depth chart, so Friday's big game should help his chances ahead of the Steelers' next preseason matchup against the Bills on Aug. 19.
-
George Pickens WR | DAL
Steelers' George Pickens: Impresses on lone catch
Pickens caught his lone target for a 33-yard touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Buccaneers.
Pickens took a short pass from Kenny Pickett and cut across the field before shaking multiple Tampa defenders en route to the end zone. With a 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame and tremendous athleticism, it is easy to see the excitement surrounding Pickens' fantasy potential, especially if his quarterback takes a step forward in his second year as a pro. Pickens and veteran Diontae Johnson are the clear starting duo in Pittsburgh, so we could see another brief appearance from the starters when the Steelers take on the Bills on Aug. 18.

Andre Baccellia WR | ARI
Cardinals' Andre Baccellia: Evaluated for concussion
Baccellia left Friday's preseason matchup with the Broncos early in order to be evaluated for a concussion, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Baccellia was active before exiting the game, as he had accumulated 45 yards on three receptions. If it is confirmed that he suffered a concussion, he will need to clear the league's protocols before suiting up again.
