Donovan Peoples-Jones WR | NO
Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones: One catch in final tuneup
Peoples-Jones recorded one catch on one target for 21 yards in Saturday's 33-32 preseason loss to the Chiefs.
Peoples-Jones was on the field with Cleveland's starting offensive unit and was targeted on the second play of the game. While Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman were both added to the roster this offseason, Peoples-Jones has apparently retained his role as a top-three receiver to begin the regular season.

Samori Toure WR | PHI
Packers' Samori Toure: Two receptions in finale
Toure was targeted four times and caught two passes for 16 yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks. He also returned three punts for 17 yards.
Toure did not start Saturday even with fellow wideouts Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks out with hamstring injuries, which does not bode well for him opening the season with a reliable role on offense. He may even be on the roster bubble, but it seems more likely than not that he makes the cut, particularly if the Packers plan to use him as a second option in the return game behind Keisean Nixon. Toure returned at least one punt or kick in all three exhibition contests Green Bay played.

Daniel Arias WR | ARI
Cardinals' Daniel Arias: Undergoing concussion evaluation
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Saturday that Arias is being evaluated for a head injury following the team's 18-17 preseason win over Minnesota, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Arias went down with an injury when he was targeted on a deep pass during Arizona's second-to-last play from scrimmage, so it's still unclear whether or not he sustained a concussion. The undrafted rookie has been competing for a roster spot this preseason, so a significant injury could harshly impact his chances of surviving the Cardinals' final roster cuts heading into the 2023 campaign.

Malik Heath WR | ATL
Packers' Malik Heath: Makes final statement
Heath was targeted seven times and caught four passes for 35 yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks.
It was not a huge showing for Heath in the box score, but it should be noted that he opened Saturday's game with the starters and wound up with three more targets than any of his teammates. The undrafted rookie has flashed consistently all the way back to the offseason, and it seems more likely than not that he gets good news come cutdown day.
-
Elijah Moore WR | PHI
Browns' Elijah Moore: Two short catches
Moore recorded two receptions on three targets for eight yards in Saturday's 33-32 preseason loss to the Chiefs.
Recovered from a rib injury, Moore played with Deshaun Watson and the rest of Cleveland's first-team offense. He matched Amari Cooper in targets, though Moore was targeted in the short areas of the field while Cooper was targeted on deep attempts. Moore is likely to work primarily out of the slot this season and should be a favorite target of Watson in the short and intermediate areas of the field.

Jakeem Grant WR | ATL
Browns' Jakeem Grant: Suffers significant injury
Grant sustained a potential broken patella in his knee during Saturday's 33-32 preseason loss to the Chiefs, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Grant is slated to undergo an MRI on Sunday to determine whether his patella is possibly broken or torn, as a torn patella could sideline him for the entire 2023 campaign. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski also expressed Saturday that he feels horrible for Grant, per Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, likely indicating that this injury will sideline him for an extended period of time either way. The 5-foot-7 slot receiver hasn't made much of an impact in the passing game during his career, but he has accumulated two kick-return touchdowns and four punt-return touchdowns over the past six seasons. Should Grant miss significant playing time, Donovan Peoples-Jones could step up as the Browns' primary punt returner while Jerome Ford, who is questionable for Week 1 with a hamstring injury, would likely take over kick-return duties.
-
Rashee Rice WR | KC
Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Ends preseason poorly
Rice recorded three receptions on six targets for 29 yards in Saturday's 33-32 preseason win over the Browns.
The good news about Rice's performance is that he was open and commanded targets, as he tied for the team lead with six looks. The bad news is that he failed to take advantage of that opportunity due to drops, with one being a potentially long touchdown down the right sideline. Rice has primarily been impressive in the first summer of his professional career, though it appears he'll enter the season behind Kadarius Toney (knee), Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore in priority for targets.
-
Chris Conley WR | SF
49ers' Chris Conley: Considered day-to-day
Conley is considered day-to-day with a strained AC joint following Friday's 23-12 preseason loss to the Chargers, Josh Dubow of The Associated Press reports.
Conley was ruled out Friday after sustaining this shoulder injury, leaving his status for San Francisco's season opener Sunday, Aug. 10 up in the air. The 6-foot-3 wideout has been competing for a depth role heading into his age-31 season, so, if this injury winds up lingering over the next couple of weeks, it could impact his chances to make the final 53-man roster. Conley totaled four catches over nine games between Houston and Tennessee last year, and his potential release could open up an opportunity for fellow veterans Willie Snead and Anthony Miller as well as rookie Ronnie Bell.
-
Amari Cooper WR | LV
Browns' Amari Cooper: Big play in preseason finale
Cooper recorded one reception on three targets for 53 yards in Saturday's 33-32 preseason loss to the Chiefs.
Deshaun Watson looked Cooper's way with deep targets on each of the Browns' first two drives. While both fell incomplete, the duo connected for a long gain in the middle of the first quarter, when Watson extended a play and allowed Cooper to work behind the Chiefs' secondary. This was Cooper's first action of the preseason, and he should enter a Week 1 matchup against the Bengals as the top target in Cleveland's passing attack.

Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Chiefs' Kadarius Toney: Return to practice imminent
Coach Andy Reid said Saturday that Toney (knee) may be able to practice in about one week, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Toney suffered a torn meniscus in his knee in the early stages of training camp, which required surgery and kept him out of the entire preseason. The Chiefs have been optimistic that he'll be healthy by Week 1, and returning to drills next week would help his case to do so. Having said that, they open the season Thursday, Sept. 7 versus the Lions, so Toney may need bump up to all activity quickly to receive clearance for that contest.
