  • Cody Chrest WR | GB

Packers' Cody Chrest: Avoids missing time

Chrest (finger) was targeted once and caught one pass for eight yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks.

Chrest dislocated his pinkie in practice a little over a week ago, but he did not wind up missing any action. While Chrest is healthy, he is a long shot to make the cut when the Packers make roster moves in the coming days.

  • Dan Chisena WR | CAR

Dan Chisena: Let go by Pittsburgh

The Steelers waived Chisena on Saturday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

Chisena was let go as part of the Steelers' initial round of roster cuts heading into the regular season, likely indicating that he could be a longshot to receive a spot on the team's practice squad as well. The 26-year-old appeared in 27 games over his first three seasons with the Vikings, though he has yet to record a reception in the NFL.

  • Jayden Reed WR | GB

Packers' Jayden Reed: Gets two touches

Reed caught one of three targets for seven yards and took a carry for nine yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason win over Seattle.

The second-round pick got his carry on the opening drive and saw all three of his targets on the third and final drive for the first-team offense. Reed figures to be at least the No. 3 receiver when the Packers open their season at Chicago in Week 1, with the potential to move up a spot if Romeo Doubs' hamstring injury lingers.

  • Darnell Mooney WR | NYG

    Bears' Darnell Mooney: Targeted twice

Mooney finished without a catch on two targets in Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo.

DJ Moore had his second big play of the preseason on one of Justin Fields' two completions. Mooney got two of the six targets from Fields, including one into the end zone, in his first game since suffering a broken ankle last November. He'll presumably be the Bears' No. 2 receiver, behind Moore, when they open the season with a Week 1 home game against Green Bay.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Bills' Gabe Davis: Catches one pass

Davis caught one of four targets for 15 yards in Saturday's preseason game at Chicago.

Davis and a number of other starters played two or three drives, while superstars Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs came out after RB Damien Harris scored a TD on the opening series. Davis gets a tough matchup to start the regular season with Buffalo traveling to the Meadowlands for Monday Night Football against a Jets defense led by CBs Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. Last year, Davis caught five of nine targets for 64 yards in two matchups with the Jets.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Misses one TD, scores another

Watson caught one of three targets for a six-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against Seattle.

Watson and QB Jordan Love, among other starters, played the first three drives of the game against Seattle's second-string defense. Watson got behind everyone for a potential 49-yard TD on the final drive, but he was unable to make a tough play after Love badly underthrew him. The second-year wideout came back with a six-yard TD on a back-shoulder throw to finish out the same drive, and he looks to be the top option in Green Bay's remade passing game ahead of a Week 1 trip to Chicago.

  • DJ Moore WR | BUF

Bears' DJ Moore: Makes another big play

Moore caught one of two targets for 40 yards in Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo.

Moore had his second long catch-and-run of the preseason, following a 62-yard TD on a screen pass a couple weeks prior. QB Justin Fields also has familiar teammates WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet as receiving weapons, but there's no doubt about Moore being the top option heading into a tricky Week 1 matchup with a Green Bay defense that has the option of using CB Jaire Alexander (groin/foot) in shadow coverage.

  • Thayer Thomas WR | DEN

Vikings' Thayer Thomas: Heads to locker room Saturday

Thomas entered the Vikings' medical tent before heading to the locker room during Saturday's preseason contest versus the Cardinals, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Thomas took a big hit on a muffed punt return in the second quarter, though it's unclear exactly what injury he could be dealing with. The undrafted rookie out of NC State did not record a catch before exiting Saturday's contest, and he is likely competing for a spot on Minnesota's practice squad as a deep reserve option at wideout and/or punt returner.

  • Stefon Diggs WR | NE

Bills' Stefon Diggs: Looks good on only drive

Diggs caught both of his targets for 20 yards in Saturday's preseason game at Chicago.

Diggs and QB Josh Allen played just one drive and led the Bills to a quick touchdown. They'll get a bigger challenge Week 1 at the Jets on Monday Night Football, facing a talented Gang Green defense that features one of the best cornerback duos in the league -- Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed.

  • Brandon Powell WR | MIN

Vikings' Brandon Powell: Likely secured roster spot

Powell did not suit up for the Vikings' preseason finale versus the Cardinals on Saturday, as he appears to have already locked up a spot on the team's final 53-man roster, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

Powell has been competing for one of Minnesota's final wide receiver spots after signing a one-year deal with the team in March. According to Alec Lewis of The Athletic, the 5-foot-8 slot receiver has performed very well during training camp, so it's likely that the Vikings saw no reason to play him if he's already in line for a roster spot. Powell caught 24 passes (on 32 targets) for 156 yards over 17 games with the Rams last season, and he should also slot in as a backup returner on special teams for Minnesota.
