  • Allen Lazard WR | NYJ

Jets' Allen Lazard: Avoids Week 1 injury report

Lazard (shoulder) wasn't listed Thursday on the Jets' first Week 1 injury report, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Lazard thus looks to be in the clear to serve as one of the Jets' starting receivers in Monday's season opener versus Buffalo. Though Lazard will be making his Jets debut in Week 1, he should be in store for a fairly seamless transition. In addition to making the jump from Green Bay to New York with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Lazard will be reunited with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who directed the Packers offense from 2019 through 2021. Second-year wideout Garrett Wilson will represent the Jets' No. 1 option in the passing game, but Lazard's skills as a blocker and familiarity with Rodgers should ensure him a near-every down role on offense.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Gets in full practice Thursday

    McLaurin (toe) practiced fully Thursday.

McLaurin suffered a turf toe injury in his right foot during the Commanders' second preseason game on Aug. 21. Initially, there was a belief that he was in danger of missing some time in the regular season, but after opening Week 1 prep with a limited practice Wednesday, he's progressed enough to be cleared for all activity three days before Sunday's season opener against the Cardinals. McLaurin thus will operate as the No. 1 target for second-year quarterback Sam Howell alongside fellow wide receiver Jahan Dotson this weekend.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Logs another limited session

Brown (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Brown continues to operate with a cap on his reps due to a hamstring injury during Week 1 prep. His listing on Friday's practice report will be telling for his potential activity level ahead of Sunday's season opener at Washington. Any sort of limitations from Brown would equate to elevated reps for Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Practices with Burrow on Wednesday

Chase took the field Wednesday alongside quarterback Joe Burrow (calf), who was a full practice participant for the first time since late July.

Re-establishing chemistry shouldn't be an issue since the receiver and quarterback already have four years of experience together dating back to their college days at LSU, but the fact that Burrow is set to put in a full week of practice should at least ease any concerns fantasy managers might have had about Chase's outlook heading into Sunday's season opener at Cleveland. Compared to his rookie season, Chase took a big step back in terms of efficiency in Year 2 (11.4 yards per target to 7.7), but he saw a major spike in opportunities (7.5 targets per game to 11.3). A healthier Tee Higgins could result in Chase's targets per game taking a slight hit in 2023, but the latter should still have a legitimate chance at emerging as the No. 1 overall receiver in fantasy football while he remains the top playmaker in what shapes up as one of the NFL's most potent offenses.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Another limited practice

Marshall (back) practice in a limited capacity Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

While Marshall maintained his activity level from Wednesday, fellow wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) did not, as he joined DJ Chark (hamstring) as a non-participant. If one or both of Thielen and Chark have to sit out Sunday in Atlanta, Marshall could have an elevated role alongside rookie Jonathan Mingo, assuming the former gains clearance to play.

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Panthers' Adam Thielen: Logs DNP on Thursday

Thielen (ankle) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

After he put in a limited session Wednesday, Thielen was merely a spectator one day later, joining DJ Chark (hamstring) as a DNP. The Panthers thus have three questions marks in their receiving corps ahead of Sunday's game in Atlanta, with Terrace Marshall (back) again having a cap on his reps. The situation for all three bears watching to get a sense of who may be available for rookie quarterback Bryce Young this weekend.

  • Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Should be available at Chicago

Wicks (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Thursday ahead of Sunday's game at the Bears, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Wicks had been limited by a hamstring issue since Green Bay's second preseason game, but it looks like he'll be ready when the Packers go to Chicago on Sunday. He could be in line for an expanded role right out of the gate, as Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are each still dealing with hamstring injuries of their own.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Confirmed as non-participant

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Watson didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

LaFleur noted that Watson was in attendance for the session after the second-year wideout didn't appear to be present for the media-access portion of practice. In any case, Watson has now failed to log any reps in the Packers' first two practices of Week 1, putting his status firmly in question for Sunday's season opener versus the Bears. On a positive note, the Packers' receiver room seems to be getting healthier as a whole; Romeo Doubs (hamstring) upgraded from no participation Wednesday to limited participation Thursday, while Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) moved from limited to full.

  • Romeo Doubs WR | NE

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Practices in limited fashion

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Doubs (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. "He looked good," LaFleur said of the second-year receiver. "Took a couple reps within each team period, routes on air."

Doubs was back on the practice field for the first time in two weeks after a hamstring injury kept him from playing in the Packers' Aug. 26 preseason finale versus the Seahawks. Unsurprisingly, Doubs wasn't cleared for full drills right off the bat, but the limited reps he logged Thursday at least improves his chances of suiting up in Sunday's season opener in Chicago. If Doubs is cleared to play in that contest, he could serve as the Packers' No. 1 wideout; Christian Watson (hamstring) was sidelined for the second practice in a row Thursday and appears to be more at risk of missing Sunday's contest than Doubs.

  • Romeo Doubs WR | NE

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Back at practice Thursday

Doubs (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

This marks Doubs' first visible on-field work since the Packers' preseason finale on Aug. 26, as he dealt with a hamstring injury in the meantime. It remains to be seen how the second-year pro is listed on the team's second Week 1 injury report, but he at least is taking part Thursday, which can't be said for fellow wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring).
