  • Jahan Dotson WR | ATL

Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Five grabs against Cards

Dotson caught five of seven targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Cardinals.

The Commanders' passing game wasn't particularly productive on the afternoon, but Dotson tied Curtis Samuel for the team lead in receptions. The 2022 first-round pick showed a nose for the end zone as a rookie with seven TDs in 12 games, and if Patrick Surtain matches up with Terry McLaurin during a Week 2 clash, Dotson could add to that total against a Broncos secondary that got torched for two touchdowns by Jakobi Meyers in its season opener.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Possible concussion after two TDs

Meyers is being evaluated for a concussion after Sunday's 17-16 win over the Broncos, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. Prior to getting injured in the fourth quarter, Meyers caught nine of 10 targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Meyers stayed down after a high hit from Kareem Jackson in the game's final minutes. After eventually being helped to his feet, Meyers was immediately taken to the locker room, per Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. Gutierrez notes that Meyers was upright in the locker room, but the wide receiver will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to have a chance to build on his productive debut in Week 2 against the Bills.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Two catches in Sunday's win

McLaurin caught two of four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Cardinals.

After suffering a turf toe injury in the Commanders' second preseason game, McLaurin was in danger of missing the team's opener completely, but he was able to practice this week and got cleared ahead of Sunday's contest. The fifth-year wideout didn't look like his usual dynamic self however, as Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel and Logan Thomas all posted better receiving totals than McLaurin. With more time to recover, he could be more productive in Week 2, but the Washington passing game will face a tough test on the road against Patrick Surtain and the Broncos.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Finds end zone in Week 1 loss

Sutton brought in four of five targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' 17-16 loss to the Raiders on Sunday.

Sutton couldn't benefit much from the absence of Jerry Jeudy (hamstring), but he did salvage his day from a fantasy perspective with a five-yard touchdown grab. The veteran saw quarterback Russell Wilson spread the ball around to 10 different players, although Sutton did co-lead the team in targets with tight end Adam Trautman. Wilson and the rest of the offense are likely to become more productive the more they acclimate to new head coach Sean Payton's offensive concepts. Consequently, Sutton could have a decent chance to improve his overall production in a Week 2 home matchup against the Commanders, irrespective of Jeudy's availability.

  • Jayden Reed WR | GB

Packers' Jayden Reed: Returns to game in Chicago

Reed (cramps) returned to Sunday's game against the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Reed briefly exited after cramping in the fourth quarter, but he reentered the game with the Packers' hands team as the Bears attempted an onside kick. The 2023 second-round pick from Michigan State has two catches for 48 yards on five targets in his NFL debut.

  • Jayden Reed WR | GB

Packers' Jayden Reed: Two catches before cramping

Reed (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday's game in Chicago.

With the Packers comfortably leading late, the rookie wide receiver's NFL debut is likely done, but cramps shouldn't affect Reed's availability moving forward. The 2023 second-round pick out of Michigan State caught two of five targets for 48 yards and rushed once for minus-2 yards prior to getting hurt in the fourth quarter. Reed couldn't put weight on his right foot as he was being helped off the field, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Panthers' Adam Thielen: Quiet in Panthers debut

Thielen brought in both targets for 12 yards in the Panthers' 24-10 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.

Donning a uniform other than that of the Vikings' for the first time in a regular-season game, Thielen's production seemed to be affected by the downgrade in experience at quarterback. Rookie Bryce Young unsurprisingly focused most on tight end Hayden Hurst and running back Miles Sanders for short throws against a Falcons defense tough to pass against on the perimeter, leaving Thielen with a minimal role. Terrace Marshall (six targets) and rookie Jonathan Mingo (five targets) both notably garnered more of Young's attention among the wideouts, but it's very likely Thielen's veteran savvy increasingly comes into play as a benefit to the young signal-caller as the season unfolds.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Four touches Sunday

Brown caught three of five targets for 28 yards and added 29 rushing yards on his only carry in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Commanders.

The former Raven helped set up the Cardinals' first points with his 29-yard run on a first-quarter drive that ended in a field goal, but Brown was nearly invisible after that as Arizona's offense failed to produce a touchdown on the day. As QB Joshua Dobbs gets more familiar with the playbook, things could open up a little for the Cards' wideouts, but this still figures to be one of the least potent passing games in the NFL this season. Brown will look for more big plays in Week 2 against the Giants.

  • Robert Woods WR | PIT

Texans' Robert Woods: Strong showing in Texans debut

Woods brought in six of 10 targets for 57 yards and returned one punt for 10 yards in the Texans' 25-9 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

The veteran wideout finished second across the board on the stat sheet to Nico Collins in terms of receiving numbers, serving as a reliable possession option for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud in his first start. Woods' profile in the offense Sunday is likely a blueprint for what to expect from him most weeks this season, with Collins handling the more high-upside downfield routes. Woods will likely be busy again during a Week 2 home matchup against the Colts.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Sitting out Week 1

Robinson (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

As Robinson continues his recovery from last season's torn right ACL that he sustained Week 11, the Giants listed him as limited on all three of their Week 1 injury reports and deemed him doubtful for their season opener. Now that Robinson's status is confirmed, the likes of Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton, Parris Campbell, Jalin Hyatt and Sterling Shepard will make up the wide-receiver unit for New York. Robinson's next chance to return is Sunday, Sept. 17 at Arizona.
