Marquise Goodwin WR | CLE
Browns' Marquise Goodwin: Limited snap count
Goodwin played only 10 offensive snaps and did not catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 24-3 win over Cincinnati in Week 1.
Goodwin was part of the second tier on the wideout depth chart, joining rookie Cedric Tillman (10 snaps) and second-year wideout David Bell (10). On a rainy afternoon in Ohio, Cleveland threw the ball just 29 times compared to 40 rushes. That's not surprising given the conditions, but the attention focused on the wideouts during the offseason suggests there will be heavier passing days ahead, which means more playing time and targets for receivers. There may be opportunities down the road for Goodwin to stretch the field.

Donovan Peoples-Jones WR | NO
Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones: Logs two targets in Week 1
Peoples-Jones caught one of two targets for 12 yards and returned three punts for 15 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Bengals in Week 1.
Peoples-Jones led the wideouts in offensive snaps (64, 89 percent share) but was behind both Amari Cooper (seven targets) and Elijah Moore (seven) in terms of opportunities. The Browns didn't unveil any new focus on their passing attack, as the ground game behind Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford reasserted its dominance on a rainy day in Cleveland. The team's run/pass mix favored the rush, 58 percent to 42 percent.

Darius Slayton WR | NYG
Giants' Darius Slayton: Gains 15 yards in loss
Slayton had three catches (five targets) for 15 yards in Sunday's 40-0 loss to Dallas.
Slayton started for the Giants to kick off the regular season after being held out of most preseason action. That's where the good news ends, as the veteran did little with his five targets Sunday. The Giants looked outmatched against the Cowboys this week, but that is unlikely to be the case against the Cardinals next Sunday, so improved play from the team as a whole can be expected.

Isaiah Hodgins WR | NYG
Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Fumbles away only catch
Hodgins caught one of three targets for 24 yards and lost a fumble against the Cowboys in a blowout Week 1 loss Sunday.
Hodgins and Parris Campbell were the two receivers on the field for the Giants on their first offensive possession, with Darren Waller at tight end and Daniel Bellinger at fullback. That suggested Hodgins' place atop the wideout pecking order, but it didn't lead to much production, as he logged just one reception in the loss. That catch was a 24-yarder in the third quarter that he subsequently fumbled away to Dallas. There won't be many positive takeaways from this performance for New York, and Hodgins actually ranked second on the team with his 24 receiving yards, so chances are that he'll be on the field to open next Sunday's game in Arizona as the Giants look to reset following the embarrassing season-opening defeat.

Brandin Cooks WR | BUF
Cowboys' Brandin Cooks: Two catches in DAL debut
Cooks had two receptions on four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 40-0 win over the Giants.
Cooks debuted for his fifth NFL franchise by starting alongside CeeDee Lamb for Dallas. The veteran wideout wasn't utilized much in a blowout win led by the team's defense and run game. The 29-year-old tied Lamb for the lead in receiver targets, and they were surpassed only by tight end Jake Ferguson, who finished with seven. Cooks and Dallas' entire passing attack may be asked to do more against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets next Sunday.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine WR | IND
Titans' Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: Seven targets to start season
Westbrook-Ikhine recorded four receptions on seven targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 16-15 loss to the Saints.
Westbrook-Ikhine played a key role in the Tennessee offense, finishing second among the receiving corps with 49 offensive snaps and seven targets. He tallied long receptions of 24 and 21 yards, though both of those gains came primarily after the catch. Treylon Burks will presumably emerge as the second pass catcher behind DeAndre Hopkins, though Westbrook-Ikhine enjoyed a fairly productive Week 1 performance.
-
CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL
Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Gains 77 yards in blowout win
Lamb caught all four of his targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 40-0 win over the Giants.
Lamb finished as the Cowboys' leading receiver in a comfortable win. The star wideout was well on his way to a monster performance had the Giants put up a fight, but there was little need for Dallas to pass after starting the second half up by 26 points. Lamb and the rest of the starters should be fresh for the Cowboys' home opener against the Jets on Sunday.
-
Tutu Atwell WR | MIA
Rams' Tutu Atwell: Reaches century mark
Atwell had six receptions (on eight targets) for 119 yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.
Atwell was elevated into the starting lineup following Cooper Kupp's (hamstring) placement on injured reserve this week. The 2021 second-round pick took full advantage of the opportunity and teamed up with rookie Puka Nacua to tie for the team lead in receiving yards. Veteran Van Jefferson also started (4-24-0) but failed to impress, dropping a potential long gain that hit him in the hands. It looks like Atwell and Nacua could be quarterback Matthew Stafford's preferred targets heading into a Week 2 matchup against San Francisco.
-
Puka Nacua WR | LAR
Rams' Puka Nacua: Breaks out in pro debut
Nacua finished with 10 receptions (on 15 targets) for 119 yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over Seattle.
Nacua was elevated into the starting lineup with Cooper Kupp (hamstring) being ruled out earlier in the week. The rookie fifth-round selection out of BYU did his best Kupp impression by leading the Rams in receptions, targets and yardage. Matthew Stafford looked refreshed Sunday following a down year in 2022, so Nacua has the opportunity to generate numbers while Kupp mends on injured reserve for a minimum of four weeks. The rookie will attempt to follow up this eye-catching performance against a tough 49ers defense Sunday.

Kendrick Bourne WR | ARI
Patriots' Kendrick Bourne: Two scores in Week 1
Bourne recorded six receptions on 11 targets for 64 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Eagles.
Bourne had his path to a significant offensive role cleared with both Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) and DeVante Parker (knee) sidelined for the contest. He commanded 11 targets to lead the team and also hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions from 19 and 11 yards away, respectively. Bourne will face more competition for opportunity at some point this season, but in the short term he could remain the favorite target of Mac Jones.
