  • Richie James WR | KC

Chiefs' Richie James: Dealing with MCL injury

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said James won't practice Wednesday due to an MCL injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

James is likely in danger of missing the team's Week 3 game against the Bears, though he hasn't officially been ruled out just yet. The 28-year-old receiver played just three snaps on offense in last week's win over the Jaguars, but he holds an important role on special teams as the Chiefs' top kickoff and punt returner.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Status in question for Thursday

Robinson (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game in San Francisco, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Robinson predictably sat out New York's first two games of the season after receiving a doubtful designation ahead of both contests. For Week 3, he at least seems to have a chance to make his first game appearance since suffering a torn ACL in his right knee Week 11 of last season. If the team allows him to suit up Thursday, Robinson may handle only a limited role as he eases back into game action while vying with Parris Campbell and Sterling Shepard for reps out of the slot.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Returning to practice

Meyers (concussion) will practice Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Meyers entered the concussion protocol during the Raiders' Week 1 win over Denver and wasn't able to practice at all last week before sitting out the taem's blowout loss to Buffalo. He could be back Sunday against Pittsburgh and should be the second option in the Raiders' passing game if he can clear the five-step protocol.

  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

Browns' Amari Cooper: Absent from practice

Cooper isn't practicing Wednesday due to groin and shoulder injuries, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Cooper suited up for Monday's 26-22 loss to the Steelers after being listed as questionable with the groin injury and treated as a game-time decision, ultimately running routes on over 80 percent of Deshaun Watson's dropbacks while leading the team in targets (10) and receiving yards (90). An absence from practice Wednesday isn't exactly surprising, nor is the addition of a shoulder injury to his groin issue, but Cooper at least has a good track record of suiting up at less than 100 percent health. He'll try to do it again this Sunday against the Titans.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Not ready to practice

Waddle (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Waddle entered concussion protocol toward the end of Sunday's 24-17 win over the Patriots. He'll have two more chances to practice before the Dolphins host the Broncos this Sunday, with his status looming especially large given Miami's lack of pass-catching depth behind the tremendous duo of Waddle and Tyreek Hill.

  • Ravens' Odell Beckham: Not practicing

Beckham (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Beckham returned to Sunday's 27-24 win over the Bengals after leaving with an ankle injury, but he later came back out and ended up missing the entire second half. A report earlier this week suggested that Beckham doesn't expect to miss any game action, so perhaps there's reason for optimism despite his absence from practice Wednesday. With Beckham checking in and out of this past weekend's game, No. 4 receiver Nelson Agholor made the most of his added playing time against Cincinnati with a 5-63-1 receiving line. Agholor and Rashod Bateman will likely be taking on most of the vacated snaps if Beckham doesn't play this Sunday in a home matchup with the Colts.

  • Deonte Harty WR | BAL

Bills' Deonte Harty: Seeing few snaps, but big usage

Harty recorded two catches for four yards on three targets in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.

Though he's played less than a quarter of the Bills' snaps on offense in both of the first two games and ranked behind Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis and Trent Sherfield in playing time Week 2, Harty has been consistently involved when on the field. Playing a role similar to the one the undersized Isaiah McKenzie held for Buffalo in the past, the 5-foot-6, 170-pound Harty has been targeted on seven of the 22 routes (31.8 percent) he's run and has carried the ball once on the five nonpassing downs he's played this season. Because of his size limitations, Harty's role might not be scaled up much from this level, though he would benefit if Diggs or Davis were to miss time at any point.

  • Raiders' Kristian Wilkerson: No targets despite big snap share

Wilkerson went without a target across 28 snaps on offense in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills.

Wilkerson played a healthy 72 percent of the Raiders' snaps on offense in the blowout loss but remained a nonfactor in the passing game. The wideout hasn't drawn a target on any of the 27 routes he has run through the first two weeks of the season.

  • Chiefs' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Held to two catches again

Valdes-Scantling recorded two receptions for 13 yards on three targets in Sunday's 17-9 win over the Jaguars.

For the second week in a row, Valdes-Scantling was limited to just two receptions, and all three of his targets came in the short areas of the field. The 28-year-old has the ability to stretch the field after recording 13 receptions of 20-plus yards in 2022, but Justin Watson has looked like the Chiefs' top deep threat through the first two weeks. Even though Valdes-Scantling is the highest-paid and nominal No. 1 wideout for Kansas City, tight end Travis Kelce remains the clear top priority in the Chiefs' passing game. Aside from Kelce, target counts could remain highly volatile for all other members of the Kansas City pass-catching corps from week to week.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Practicing to start week

Watson (hamstring) is taking part in practice Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Watson missed the first two games of the season but at least sparked some optimism about being close to a return after he practiced last Friday on a limited basis. Another appearance at practice Wednesday -- even if he's still limited -- suggests he has a real shot to make his season debut during Sunday's game against New Orleans.
