  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Still not practicing

Metcalf (ribs/hip) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Metcalf has yet to log any on-field work during Week 7 prep due to a combination of the rib issue that has plagued him since Week 2 and the hip injury that he sustained this past Sunday In Cincinnati. His production hasn't taken much of a hit, though, as he's put together a 22-337-2 line on 32 targets in five games this season. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Metcalf returns to practice and if he'll enter the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals.

  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Raiders' Davante Adams: Practices fully Thursday

Adams (shoulder) returned to a full practice Thursday.

Adams, who has been managing a shoulder issue of late, was limited Wednesday, but his return to all activity one day later sets the stage for the Raiders' top wideout to start Sunday against the Bears alongside Jakobi Meyers. Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, Adams acknowledged some frustration Wednesday about having seen a combined nine targets over his last two games, but chances are the Raiders will look to get him the ball more in the coming weeks. However, this weekend, Adams figures to be catching passes from either Brian Hoyer or Aidan O'Connell, with starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo (back) expected to be out versus Chicago.

  • Patriots' Kayshon Boutte: Tending to hamstring injury

Boutte (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Boutte presumably sustained the hamstring injury during practice, as he was not listed on New England's injury report Wednesday. He's played in just one game in 2023, failing to haul in any of his four targets in that contest.

  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Logs limited practice Thursday

Smith (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.

After sitting out Wednesday's walkthrough due to a hamstring issue, Smith was spotted taking part in the team stretch and eventually hauled in some catches during individual drills, all the while wearing a compression sleeve on his lower right leg, according to Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Smith's return to drills Thursday is a positive sign as the Eagles gear up for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, but he may need to get back to all activity Friday in order to avoid a Week 7 designation.

  • Patriots' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Another limited practice

Smith-Schuster (concussion) remained limited in practice Thursday.

The same applies to fellow WR Demario Douglas (concussion). Both players missed the Patriots' Week 6 loss to the Raiders, but their ability to practice (albeit in a limited capacity) Wednesday and Thursday suggests that one or both could be available for Sunday's game against the Bills. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Smith-Schuster heads into the weekend with a Week 7 injury designation.

  • Alec Pierce WR | IND

Colts' Alec Pierce: Logs limited practice

Pierce (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday.

Pierce didn't practice Wednesday, so the wideout's return to a limited session Thursday has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns. That said, Pierce will need to practice fully Friday in order to head into the weekend without a Week 7 injury designation.

  • Jalen Guyton WR | LV

    Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Nearing return

Los Angeles opened the 21-day activation window from the PUP list for Guyton (knee) on Thursday, Eric Smith of the team's official site reports.

Guyton's activation window has been opened and he was spotted participating in individual drills during Thursday's practice, per Daniel Popper of The Athletic. The 26-year-old suffered a torn ACL during the Chargers' Week 3 contest in 2022, and once he's ready for in-game action, expect the wideout to help Los Angeles stretch the field.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

    49ers' Deebo Samuel: Not practicing

Samuel (shoulder) isn't practicing Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

It comes as no surprise given that Samuel was unable to return to Sunday's loss to the Browns after exiting in the first half. He does have an extra day to prepare with the 49ers facing the Vikings on Monday Night Football this week, and a return to practice Friday would mark a big step in the right direction. Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud are the primary candidates to get more snaps than usual if Samuel ends up inactive Monday.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Practices without limitations

Robinson (knee) was a full practice participant Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

This is his first full practice on a Thursday all season -- another hint Robinson is getting more comfortable after tearing an ACL last year. He's seen at least five targets in each of his four games this year, including a season-high eight (with eight catches for 62 yards) in the 14-9 loss to Buffalo on Sunday. Robinson has run routes on about three-fourths of the Giants' QB dropbacks in competitive situations the past few weeks, emerging alongside TE Darren Waller as the favorite targets for QBs Daniel Jones (neck) and Tyrod Taylor. The Giants haven't yet announced if Jones will miss a second game when they face the Commanders this Sunday.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Has permission to find trade

Marshall recently received permission to seek a trade, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Marshall was a second-round pick in 2021 and among the younger players in his draft class, but there haven't been many signs of development despite multiple chances to start. He's only 23 and still hasn't played with a quality quarterback, so it isn't out of the question that another team would give up a late-round pick to see what Marshall has to offer. He played only 32 percent of snaps in a Week 6 loss to Miami ahead of Carolina's Week 7 bye.
