Mims is slated to sign with the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Mims was waived by Pittsburgh on Tuesday, but he's quickly found a new opportunity to compete. He logged time on the Steelers practice squad last season, though he never suited up for a game with the team. The 2020 second-round pick spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Jets, before being traded to the Lions during the 2023 offseason, then failing to make Detroit's roster.

The Giants placed Cota (collarbone) on injured reserve Tuesday, Matt Citak of the team's official site reports.

Cota sustained a broken collarbone during minicamp practice Tuesday, and he'll now move to season-ending IR. The 23-year-old could still appear in the 2024 campaign if he is waived with an injury settlement, though he may have to wait until the 2025 season to make his NFL debut. Cota spent his 2023 rookie campaign between the Chiefs' and Texans' practice squads.

The Bears signed Carter to a one-year contract Tuesday.

Carter suited up for all 17 regular-season games with the Raiders in 2023 and racked up 494 return yards in that span. He also contributed four catches for 39 yards and three carries for 17 yards. The 31-year-old veteran now stands to compete for a similar role including the return game with Chicago.

Aiyuk expressed frustration Monday with the progress of contract negotiations, and while the 49ers remain interested in re-signing him, it's only on a cheaper deal than what he's looking for, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Aiyuk posted a TikTok video in which he says, "They don't want me," in an apparent reference to the 49ers. Rapoport says he doesn't think negotiations are "completely dead," even though there seems to be a big money gap between the two sides. While Aiyuk's post may add fuel to the fire of trade rumors, it's still possible the 49ers keep him in a contract year even if they aren't able to work out a long-term deal. He was a holdout during June minicamp and may not show up for the start of training camp if he's still set to play out 2025 under the fifth-year option on his rookie contract for $14.12 million.

Davis (concussion) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Panthers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Davis missed the entire 2023 season after suffering a concussion in the Dolphins' final preseason game and subsequently being placed on injured reserve. With his rookie season over prematurely, the Western Kentucky product will now look to make an impression in Carolina. However, he will have his work cut out for him as one of 13 wide receivers currently on the roster.

The Vikings waived Harper on Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.

Harper inked with Minnesota as an undrafted free agent shortly after the 2024 NFL Draft, but after spending OTAs and mandatory minicamp with the team he now has to search for an opportunity elsewhere in the league. The former Mercer standout was a productive return man at the collegiate level.

Higgins signed his franchise tag with the Bengals on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Higgins now figures to report for the start of training camp and will make $21.8 million on a one-year tag. Schefter's report indicates it's unlikely Higgins and the Bengals will come to terms on a long-term deal, potentially making this his last campaign with the team as they push for another Super Bowl appearance. He missed five full games and parts of two others last season, finishing with career lows in every major counting stat even as he averaged a career-high 15.6 yards per catch. Higgins missed three games total over his first three seasons and had at least 908 receiving yards and six touchdowns each year.

Patrick, who is moving past last summer's Achilles injury, looked healthy and sharp during the Broncos' mandatory minicamp this week, Jon Heath of the USA Today reports.

The report notes that Patrick -- who sustained a torn left Achilles late last July -- was one of the team's standout performers during Tuesday's session. As the coming campaign approaches, it remains to be seen what Patrick's role in Denver's offense will be, especially given that the 30-year-old last saw regular-season action in 2021. With Jerry Jeudy no longer in the mix, however, the pecking order behind top wideout Courtland Sutton has yet to be determined, which sets the stage for Patrick to vie for slotting in the coming months with Josh Reynolds, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Brandon Johnson and Devaughn Vele.

The Jaguars signed McGowan to a contract Friday.

McGowan suited up for two games with Washington as a rookie back in 2022 but was cut by the team with an undisclosed injury prior to the 2023 season, and he hadn't been able to find a new landing spot until now. The 24-year-old wideout will now compete to earn a depth role with the Jaguars.

Ford-Wheaton (shoulder) suffered an AC sprain during Tuesday's minicamp practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Ford-Wheaton missed the entire 2023 season while rehabbing from a torn ACL, and while it appears he's completed rehab on his knee, the second-year pro is now dealing with a new injury. Coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that he hopes every player on the Giants' roster will be ready for training camp, though, so Ford-Wheaton should be on track to return by late July.
