Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Returns from illness
Brown (illness) returned to practice Wednesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Brown should jump right back in with the first-team offense after missing a few days due to an illness. Wednesday will be one of the few practices so far in which all of Brown, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy have been available, as Worthy missed some time earlier in training camp with an illness of his own.

Alec Pierce WR | IND
Colts' Alec Pierce: Splitting reps at No. 3 WR
Pierce and rookie Adonai Mitchell have rotated playing time between the first- and second-team offenses through the first week of training camp, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Mitchell and Pierce are battling for the No. 3 receiver role in the offense. It's still early in camp, but it's notable that Pierce as the veteran didn't immediately get all the reps with the first unit. Pierce has underwhelmed by averaging just 554 yards and two touchdowns in his two season with the Colts, so there's some risk he could quickly lose playing time to Mitchell, a 2024 second-round pick.

Adonai Mitchell WR | NYJ
Colts' Adonai Mitchell: Even split for No. 3 WR competition
Mitchell and Alec Pierce have rotated playing time between the first- and second-team offenses through the first week of training camp, Indianapolis 93.5 The Fan reports.
Mitchell and Pierce are battling for the No. 3 receiver role in the offense. It's early in the contest, but it's notable that Mitchell as the rookie didn't immediately begin camp with the second unit. The Colts used the 52nd pick in the 2024 Draft on Mitchell, a combine standout who made a strong impression in spring practices.

Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Bills' Chase Claypool: Another missed practice
Claypool missed Tuesday's practice due to a toe injury, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
The free-agent signee suffered the injury Sunday. While it isn't expected to be a long-term issue, Claypool is on the roster bubble, so any missed time could end up costing him as he takes aim at one of the Bills' final receiver spots.

Equanimeous St. Brown WR | SF
Saints' Equanimeous St. Brown: Dealing with hamstring injury
Head coach Dennis Allen said Tuesday that St. Brown missed practice due to a hamstring injury, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
St. Brown signed with the Saints in April after spending the last two seasons with the Bears. He missed 10 regular-season games in 2023 due to separate hamstring and pectoral injuries, and he finished the season with five catches for 62 yards on six targets. St. Brown is battling Cedrick Wilson and A.T. Perry for the No. 3 wide receiver spot behind Chris Olave (hip) and Rashid Shaheed.

DJ Moore WR | BUF
Bears' DJ Moore: Inks extension
Moore and the Bears have come to terms on a four-year, $110 million extension that includes $82.5 million guaranteed, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After spending his first five seasons in Carolina, Moore produced career highs across the board with the Bears in 2023, including 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns on 96 receptions. The Chicago offense will look drastically different this year, as Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze join the receiving room and 2024 first overall pick Caleb Williams takes over as the starting QB. Chicago also added tight end Gerald Everett and running back D'Andre Swift in the offseason, so it seems unlikely that Moore will be able to match his 28.8 percent target share from last year, regardless of his salary.

Daewood Davis WR | CAR
Panthers' Daewood Davis: Sidelined with thigh injury
Davis, who sustained a thigh injury in practice Monday, is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks, Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Davis joined the Panthers in June after playing with the UFL's Memphis Showboats this past spring, finishing with 41 catches for 446 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games. The injury may keep Davis out of the Panthers' first preseason game against the Patriots on August 8, but he could be available against the Jets on August 17.

Roman Wilson WR | PIT
Steelers' Roman Wilson: Avoids serious injury
Wilson (ankle) is expected to be ready for the start of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
It sounds like Wilson should be considered week-to-week, as the Steelers will ease him back into the swing of things after he sustained an ankle injury in camp Tuesday. The 2024 third-rounder is expected to compete with the likes of Van Jefferson, Calvin Austin and Quez Watkins for reps at receiver behind George Pickens, but a lengthy absence could hurt Wilson's ability to build chemistry with Russell Wilson (calf) and Justin Fields.

Marquez Callaway WR | LV
Marquez Callaway: Let go by Pittsburgh
The Steelers let go of Callaway on Tuesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Callaway signed with the Steelers on a reserve/future contract in January after finishing the 2023 season on the Saints' practice squad. He played in three regular-season games for New Orleans last year, but did not register a catch across his 27 snaps on offense. Callaway's most productive season came in 202, when he registered 46 catches for 698 yards and six touchdowns across 17 regular-season games with the Saints.
