  • Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ

Broncos' Josh Reynolds: Leads team in yardage

Reynolds corralled five of eight targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to Seattle.

Reynolds finished with the most receiving yards of any Denver wideout but trailed Courtland Sutton in targets (12). The veteran wideout battled an Achilles injury this preseason but did not appear limited in Sunday's contest. Denver's passing game didn't look strong to kick off the Bo Nix era, but Reynolds will look to garner healthy targets as the No. 2 option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Steelers.

  • Broncos' Devaughn Vele: Grabs eight receptions

Vele finished with eight receptions on as many targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to Seattle.

Vele didn't do a whole lot with the short receptions, as Bo Nix struggled to get the ball downfield to his receivers in the one-score loss. The seventh-round rookie still stood out in the box score over Marvin Mims (no receptions) while tying Josh Reynolds in targets (eight) behind No. 1 wideout Courtland Sutton (12 targets). Vele's heavy involvement makes the rookie wideout a worthy target as an early waiver-wire option in deeper leagues.

  • Drake London WR | ATL

Falcons' Drake London: Limited to three targets

London recorded two receptions on three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers.

London was expected to reach a new level of production this season with a modernized offense in Atlanta and Kirk Cousins under center. However, his Week 1 performance left plenty to be desired, as he finished with fewer targets than Ray-Ray McCloud and Bijan Robinson. Cousins was uncharacteristically inefficient in his first game action in 10 months, so it's probably too early to panic.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Limited to 33 percent catch rate

Sutton had four receptions off of 12 targets for 38 yards in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Seahawks.

Bo Nix's start to his career in Denver did not go well as a passer (no touchdowns and two picks), and Sutton fell victim to the effects of the rookie rollercoaster to kick off the regular season. The veteran wideout has the skills to produce big fantasy totals, but he will require improved quarterback play to do so. Those invested in Sutton should not lose faith in the wideout ahead of next Sunday's tilt against New England.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Leading receiver in Week 1 win

Lockett (thigh) brought in six of seven targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Broncos.

Lockett was battling a thigh injury this preseason, and while his presence in the lineup wasn't in serious doubt, fantasy managers should be pleased with Sunday's results. The veteran wideout should remain an integral part of Seattle's balanced passing attack. That said, an absent Kenneth Walker (abdomen) from next week's tilt against the Patriots could produce another healthy target total for Lockett.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Leading receiver in Week 1 win

Godwin converted all eight of his targets into receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Commanders.

Godwin was the leading receiver for Tampa Bay in terms of receptions, targets and yardage, but fellow star wideout Mike Evans grabbed two of Baker Mayfield's four touchdown passes Sunday. More importantly, the 28-year-old Godwin looked healthy running routes in the win after battling minor leg injuries in past seasons. Both Godwin and Evans make for fine fantasy starters on a weekly basis, including next Sunday's tilt against the Lions.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Scores twice in lopsided win

Evans caught five of six targets for 61 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-20 win over Washington.

Evans finished third in receiving yards for the Buccaneers while logging the most fantasy points by scoring twice in the win. The superstar wideout is fresh off of a contract extension and looks to be in sync with starting quarterback Baker Mayfield to kick things off this fantasy campaign. Evans will face a stiffer test in terms of defensive backs when the Bucs face the Lions next Sunday, but the WR1 should always crack starting fantasy lineups so long as he is 100 percent healthy.

  • Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Can't secure either of two targets

Berrios failed to secure either of his two targets during the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Berrios was unable to make an impact in the receiving game despite working as the No. 3 wideout behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. He did return two punts for two yards. Berrios' next chance to produce will come Week 2 on Thursday versus Buffalo, though his opportunities could dip if rookie Malik Washington (oblique) manages to get healthy enough to make his NFL debut.

  • Xavier Legette WR | CAR

Panthers' Xavier Legette: Four grabs in pro debut

Legette caught four of seven targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 47-10 rout at the hands of the Saints.

The 32nd overall pick in the 2024 Draft led the Panthers in targets in his NFL debut, but Legette's longest gain went for only 18 yards as Bryce Young struggled to get anything going through the air. The rookie was brought in to provide Young with a downfield threat while veterans Adam Thielen and Diontae Johnson handled underneath routes, but Legette may not get many chances to stretch the field if his QB continues to stagnate. The Carolina offense will try to regroup ahead of a Week 2 matchup with the Chargers.

  • Panthers' Diontae Johnson: Quiet debut for Carolina

Johnson caught two of six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 47-10 loss to the Saints.

The former Steeler finished second on the Panthers in targets in his debut for the team, but Johnson was rarely on the same page with second-year QB Bryce Young. Johnson saw his numbers decline in his final two years for Pittsburgh due to erratic quarterback play, and it looks like his situation may have gotten even worse with the offseason move to Carolina. The target volume was at least mildly encouraging, and Johnson will try to do more with his looks in Week 2 against the Chargers.
