Josh Palmer WR | BUF
Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Not playing Week 3
Palmer (elbow/calf) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Though Palmer failed to practice in any fashion this week due to his pair of injuries, the Chargers still held out some hope the wideout could be available Sunday, as he was listed as questionable heading into the weekend. He'll ultimately miss his first game of the season, however, with his absence perhaps paving the way for either Simi Fehoko or Derius Davis to join Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey in three-receiver sets. The Chargers offense could end up skewing more run-heavy than usual, given the absence of Palmer along with the fact that quarterback Justin Herbert may be compromised a bit as he plays through a high-ankle sprain.

Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Active versus Chicago
Pittman (back/calf) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Though Pittman was listed as questionable for the contest after being held out of Friday's practice with listed back and calf issues, coach Shane Steichen indicated that the wideout should be able to play Sunday. With his active status confirmed, Pittman is in line to continue to work as a key target for QB Anthony Richardson in the absence of any limitations or in-game setbacks. Over his first two contests, Pittman -- who recorded 109 catches in 16 regular-season outings in 2023 -- has caught seven of his team-high 15 targets for 52 yards. Also in the Colts' Week 3 WR mix are Josh Downs, who is back in action after a two-game absence, as well as Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell.

Greg Dortch WR | DET
Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Should play through hamstring issue
Dortch (hamstring) is listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday versus the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
A late-week addition to the Cardinals' injury report after the hamstring issue limited his participation in Friday's practice, Dortch looks poised to play through the injury Week 3, though he won't be officially cleared until Arizona releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Through the first two games, Dortch has served as Arizona's No. 3 receiver while stringing together an 8-58-0 receiving line on 10 targets.

Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Expected to suit up Sunday
Pittman (back/calf) remains listed as questionable but is likely to play in Sunday's game against the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Pittman sat out Friday's practice due to injuries to his back and calf, resulting in him taking a designation into the weekend. However, coach Shane Steichen said Friday that he believed the wideout would be able to suit up for Sunday's contest, and that appears to be coming to pass. Pittman's status will be confirmed when Indianapolis releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Tim Jones WR | JAC
Jaguars' Tim Jones: Pops up on injury report
Jones (foot) was a limited participant in Saturday's practice session and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Buffalo, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Jones was a full participant Thursday and Friday, but he appears to have picked up a foot injury and is in jeopardy of missing Monday's game. He's played 34 of his 35 snaps on special teams through the first two games of the regular season and has not recorded a tackle.

Kameron Johnson WR | TB
Buccaneers' Kameron Johnson: Won't play Sunday
Johnson (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against Denver, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Johnson ended the week with back-to-back DNPs, and he will shift his focus to being available for Week 4 against the Eagles. Sterling Shepard was elevated from the practice squad and will provide depth for the Bucs' wide receiver corps Sunday.

Parris Campbell WR | DAL
Eagles' Parris Campbell: Elevated for Week 3
The Eagles elevated Campbell from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Campbell played 22 snaps on offense but did not register a target during the Eagles' 22-21 loss to the Falcons in Week 2. He'll serve as a rotational wide receiver again for Week 3 against the Saints after A.J. Brown (hamstring) was ruled out for Sunday's game.
-
Lil'Jordan Humphrey WR | DEN
Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Signs with Denver
Humphrey signed a contract with the Broncos on Saturday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Humphrey was out of practice-squad elevations, so this move isn't entirely surprising. The long-time Bronco put together a solid performance in Week 2, tallying 50 receiving yards despite a dismal display overall by the offense. It's unlikely those same opportunities will be available in Week 3 as Devaughn Vele is cleared to play after missing the previous week due to a ribs injury.
-
Tim Patrick WR | NYJ
Lions' Tim Patrick: Elevated for second time
Detroit elevated Patrick from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Patrick was elevated for the Lions' Week 2 game against the Buccaneers, during which he played 32 snaps on offense and caught two passes (on four targets) for 12 yards. The Lions will be able to elevate Patrick one more time following Sunday's game against the Cardinals, after which they would have to sign the 30-year-old wide receiver to the active roster should they wish for him to continue to play in Detroit.

Allen Robinson WR | DET
Lions' Allen Robinson: Gets elevated from practice squad
The Lions elevated Robinson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Robinson wasn't able to secure a spot on the Lions' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but the 2014 second-round pick opted to stick around on Detroit's practice squad. He played 17 regular-season games for the Steelers in 2023 and finished with 34 catches (on 49 targets) for 280 yards.
