Robert Woods WR | PIT
Texans' Robert Woods: Starts week with practice absence
Woods (foot) didn't participate in practice Wednesday.
Woods also missed some practice time with the same injury leading up to the Week 5 win over the Bills, but he managed to play through the concern and failed to draw a target on his 16 snaps on offense. Based on how the Texans deployed their wide receivers after Nico Collins (hamstring) exited the Week 5 contest, Xavier Hutchinson is more likely than Woods to join Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell in three-receiver sets Sunday against the Patriots. Collins was placed on injured reserve Wednesday and will miss at least four games, allowing Woods and each of the Texans' other receivers to move up a spot on the depth chart.

Noah Brown WR | WAS
Commanders' Noah Brown: Returns to practice
Brown (groin) returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant.
Brown didn't practice last week and ultimately was ruled out ahead of Sunday's 34-13 win over Cleveland. A return to practice at least puts him on the right track to play in Sunday's game at Baltimore, though he might need to put in a full workout Thursday and/or Friday to avoid carrying a designation into the weekend. Brown's absence in Week 5 freed up more playing time for Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus, who essentially shared the No. 2 receiver role.

Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Falcons' Darnell Mooney: Tending to knee issue
Mooney was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Mooney is coming off a season-best performance against the Buccaneers in Week 5, when he tallied nine catches (on 16 targets) for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He clearly is on the same page with quarterback Kirk Cousins, as the pair already have connected for eight receptions of 20-plus yards through five games. Now that Mooney has made an appearance on the Falcons' first Week 6 practice report, his status will be one to watch as the weekend approaches to ensure he isn't in danger of missing Sunday's contest at Carolina.

Devin Duvernay WR | ARI
Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Shifts to IR
The Jaguars placed Duvernay (lower body) on injured reserve Wednesday.
The 27-year-old sustained a lower-body injury during the Jaguars' Week 5 win over the Colts, and it now appears serious enough to land him on IR. Duvernay accumulated one reception for minus-1 yard and 181 return yards across Jacksonville's first five contests. With the first-year Jaguar sidelined for at least next four games, expect Parker Washington to serve as Jacksonville's top kick and punt returner.
-
Gabe Davis WR | BUF
Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Limited to begin London prep
Davis was limited participant in practice Wednesday due to a knee injury.
Davis led all Jaguars wide receivers with a 78 percent snap share in the Week 5 win over the Colts, so he showed no sign of being limited by an injury. He still has two opportunities to upgrade to full participation and avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game against the Bears in London.
-
Josh Downs WR | IND
Colts' Josh Downs: Absent Wednesday, as is Pittman
Downs (toe) didn't participate in practice Wednesday.
Downs picked up the toe injury in the Colts' Week 5 loss to Jacksonville, and it kept him off the practice field Wednesday. Michael Pittman (back) also didn't practice Wednesday. Both starting wide receivers will have two more opportunities to practice before the Colts issue their final Week 6 injury report ahead of Sunday's road game in Tennessee.

Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Sits out Wednesday with back injury
Pittman didn't participate in practice Wednesday due to a back injury.
The Colts put out a lengthy injury report Wednesday that included Pittman and Josh Downs (toe) at wide receiver, as well as Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Trey Sermon (collarbone) and quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique). With the exception of Richardson -- who was a limited participant -- each of those four players sat out Wednesday's session entirely. Though Pittman still has time to overcome the back issue ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans, adding an injury to the mix is far from ideal from a fantasy perspective for the wideout, who will face a tough matchup against a stingy secondary led by cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.

DJ Chark WR | ATL
Chargers' DJ Chark: Won't return to practice Wednesday
Head coach Jim Harbaugh said that he doesn't expect the Chargers to open Chark's (hip) 21-day practice window Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Chark has been on injured reserve for the entire regular season, and he isn't ready to begin practicing Wednesday as the Chargers begin preparing for Sunday's game in Denver. The wideout is thus likely to miss a fifth consecutive contest to begin the campaign, and a clear target date for his return likely won't emerge until he starts practicing again.
-
A.J. Brown WR | PHI
Eagles' A.J. Brown: Practicing Wednesday
Brown (hamstring) was spotted at Wednesday's padded practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Brown tweaked his hamstring in advance of a Week 2 matchup with the Falcons and didn't get back on the practice field until Sept. 27. He then was ruled out one day later for a Week 4 visit to Tampa Bay, marking his third absence in a row. With the benefit of the Eagles' Week 5 bye, Brown and fellow wideout DeVonta Smith (concussion) were participants at Wednesday's session, but their respective activity levels won't become known until the team posts its first Week 6 injury report.

Tank Dell WR | HOU
Texans' Tank Dell: Role may expand with Collins out
Dell could see additional targets for at least the next four games after the Texans placed Nico Collins (hamstring) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Dell has posted more than 40 receiving yards only once this season and is still searching for his first touchdown of 2024 after scoring seven times in 11 games as a rookie in 2023 prior to suffering a season-ending injury to his lower leg. Through the first five weeks of the season, Dell has struggled to earn meaningful volume in the passing game while ceding the majority of targets to Collins and Stefon Diggs, but Collins' absence will allow Dell to take on a regular role in two-receiver sets. After Collins exited early in last week's win over the Bills, Xavier Hutchinson served as the primary No. 3 wideout behind Diggs and Dell.
