Williams caught both of his targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 37-13 preseason loss to the Browns.

Williams scored New England's only touchdown on a 45-yard catch in the first quarter. The 2025 third-round pick has had an outstanding preseason, finding the end zone in each of the Patriots' three preseason games. Williams has earned a spot on the 53-man roster heading into the regular season, but he could have a hard time carving out consistent playing time in a WR room led by offseason additions A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, with DeMario Douglas and Mack Hollins also jostling for snaps.

Brown isn't in uniform for Thursday's preseason game in Cleveland, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Brown thus won't see any game action during this exhibition season. He's expected to serve as the top target for QB Drake Maye in 2026, considering the key asset (a 2028 first-round pick) sent to Philadelphia to gain his services. In seven campaigns as a pro, Brown has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards six times while racking up 58 total TDs in 105 regular-season contests.

Stribling (shoulder) won't suit up for Thursday's preseason contest at Las Vegas, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Stribling seemingly came out of preseason Week 2 action with a minor shoulder injury, but he was able to mix back into drills as of Sunday while wearing a non-contact jersey. Considering he showed out in the 49ers' first two exhibitions with a combined 11 catches for 109 yards, the team will rest him along with other key members of the receiving corps. Stribling will set his sights on getting healthy for a Week 1 matchup with the Rams in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday, Sept. 10

Horton (undisclosed) is not dealing with a long-term injury, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.

Horton has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury for over a week, but head coach Mike Macdonald shed some light on the situation Thursday, explaining that the wide receiver isn't dealing with a significant injury. With fellow wideout Jake Bobo (knee) already sidelined for the year, Horton will have an opportunity to elevate into a more substantial role with Seattle in his second campaign with the team.

Washington signed with the Eagles on Thursday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

The wide receiver was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday after two seasons with the team. Washington recorded three catches for 37 yards and no touchdowns in 2025. He likely faces an uphill climb for a roster in a crowded Eagles receiver room.

The Giants placed Austin (knee) on injured reserve Thursday, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.

After being carted off the field at Tuesday's practice due to an apparent right knee injury, Austin was diagnosed with a torn ACL, ensuring he'll miss the entire 2026 campaign. Odell Beckham, Braxton Berrios (undisclosed), Jalin Hyatt (leg) and Isaiah Hodgins will continue to battle for the last one or two spots at wide receiver on the Giants' active roster.

Shakir (undisclosed) isn't in uniform for Thursday's preseason contest against the Steelers, Alex Brasky of SI.com reports.

Shakir now will miss a second consecutive exhibition due to an undisclosed injury that has sidelined him for the past week. Fellow position mates Keon Coleman (foot/toe) and Tyrell Shavers (knee, active/PUP) also aren't suited up Thursday. Shakir will set his sights on getting healthy for the Bills' Week 1 road matchup with the Texans on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Coleman (right foot/toe) isn't in uniform for Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers, but he wasn't wearing a walking boot, Alex Brasky of SI.com reports.

Coleman has been tending to a sprained right foot/toe that he sustained in the Bills' exhibition opener, which forced him to don a low walking boot since then. Shedding the boot is a positive sign in his recovery effort, but Coleman will join Khalil Shakir (undisclosed) and Tyrell Shavers (knee, active/PUP) as injured Buffalo wide receivers that won't suit up Thursday. Coleman will turn his focus to getting completely healthy for the team's regular-season opener Sunday, Sept. 13 at Houston.

Atwell was traded to the Rams on Thursday in exchange for running back Jarquez Hunter, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Atwell joined the Rams over the offseason after spending five seasons with the Rams, but he will return to his old stomping grounds before the regular season gets underway. He will compete with the likes of Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield for snaps behind starters Puka Nacua (groin) and Davante Adams.

Robinson is being evaluated for a concussion after taking a hard hit in Thursday's joint practice with the Bears, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Robinson, per the report, was able to walk off the field under his own power, but he will still undergo tests to determine if he sustained a concussion. Another update on his status figures to be released after the results of the exams have been read.
