  • Ja'Lynn Polk WR | NO

Patriots' Ja'Lynn Polk: Still not practicing

Polk (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

After missing Wednesday's session, Polk now has one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets. If the 2024 second-round pick is unavailable this weekend, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte and Kendrick Bourne would be in line to lead the Patriots' wideout corps.

  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Back at practice

Downs (groin/toe) participated in practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Both Downs and Michael Pittman (back) were deemed non-participants Wednesday, but both were back for Thursday's session, which bodes well for their availability for Sunday's game against the Texans. The Colts' upcoming injury report will reveal Downs' official participation level Thursday.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Returns to practice

Pittman (back) participated in practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Pittman was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's session, but his presence on the field a day later suggests that the Colts may simply be managing the wideout's practice reps as he works through a back issue. The team's second Week 8 injury report will be released later Thursday and will clarify the extent of Pittman's participation in his return to practice.

  • Javon Baker WR | SF

Patriots' Javon Baker: Not on injury report

Baker (illness) isn't listed on the Patriots' Week 8 injury report.

An illness led to Baker missing practice this past Friday, and the wideout ended up being made inactive for the Patriots' Week 7 loss to the Jaguars. While the 2024 fourth-rounder has moved past his illness, he's not a lock to be in uniform Sunday against the Jets, given that he was a healthy scratch Weeks 5 and 6.

  • Skyy Moore WR | GB

Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Lands on IR

The Chiefs placed Moore on injured reserve Thursday due to a core-muscle injury.

Moore joins fellow wideouts Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee) on IR, with the move occurring on the same day that DeAndre Hopkins was officially traded to the Chiefs. The soonest Moore can return to game action is Nov. 24 against the Panthers, but it's unclear if he'll be ready to go by then. Head coach Andy Reid said that the receiver's injury will "need to get fixed," implying that Moore will soon get surgery, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. Prior to his placement on IR, the 2022 second-round pick did not record a catch on three targets over six games.

  • Chiefs' DeAndre Hopkins: Trade official

The Chiefs acquired Hopkins (lower leg) from the Titans on Thursday in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick after the receiver passed a physical, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

As Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site points out, two areas where the addition of Hopkins should make the team better are in the red zone and on third downs. Titans head coach Brian Callahan had previously said that Hopkins was dealing with lower leg soreness coming out of a Week 7 loss to the Bills, but the receiver's ability to pass a physical suggests that the injury is not a major concern. In any case, Hopkins' practice activity will bear monitoring the next two days before he potentially makes his Chiefs debut this Sunday in Las Vegas.

  • Puka Nacua WR | LAR

Rams' Puka Nacua: Appears likely to play Thursday

Nacua (knee) remains listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Vikings, but the Rams are optimistic that he'll be available to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Nacua has missed the Rams' last five games while recovering from a PCL sprain in his right knee, but he took a monumental step forward Tuesday, when he was cleared to practice after being designated for return from injured reserve. Nacua was listed as a limited participant in practices Tuesday and Wednesday, and he'll presumably go through another workout early Thursday before the Rams decide on his status as the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff approaches. Since Nacua remains on IR, the Rams would have to officially add him back to the 53-man roster prior to the 4 p.m. ET deadline for roster moves in order for him to be eligible to play Thursday. Given the length of his absence along with the fact that he only recently resumed practicing a few days ago, Nacua could be eased back into action if he ends up playing Week 8.

  • Ethan Fernea WR | IND

    Ethan Fernea: Returns to Colts

Fernea was signed to the Colts' practice squad Wednesday.

Fernea will return to practice unit with Indianapolis after the team let him go Saturday. The wide receiver will provide the team with an extra depth option heading into Week 8.

  • Chris Conley WR | SF

49ers' Chris Conley: Limited in practice

Conley (ankle) was a limited participant in San Francisco's practice Wednesday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Conley suffered an ankle injury during last week's loss to the Chiefs but managed to return to practice, albeit in a limited capacity. If the 31-year-old ends up being unable to play versus the Cowboys on Sunday, the 49ers could be shorthanded at receiver, as Deebo Samuel (illness) and Jauan Jennings (hip) are both questionable, and Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is on injured reserve.

  • Rakim Jarrett WR | PIT

Buccaneers' Rakim Jarrett: Full practice participant Wednesday

Jarrett (knee) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's injury report.

Jarrett had his 21-day practice window open Oct. 17, and despite not playing Monday against the Ravens, he was able to log a full practice session Saturday. If he's able to practice without any restrictions for the rest of the week, he could be activated off injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. Jarrett's return would be timely after Chris Godwin (ankle) was placed on IR and with Mike Evans set to miss the next three games due to a right hamstring injury.
