Owen has entered the league's concussion protocol, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Owen sustained a concussion during the opening drive of Saturday's preseason matchup versus Detroit. The 25-year-old will now need to clear the league's concussion protocol before he's eligible to return to the field.

The Bills waived Skinner on Saturday.

The Bills claimed Skinner off waivers from the Jets in mid-July. The wide receiver was unable to win a reserve role in the team's corps, being surpassed by younger players with draft capital invested in them, such as Keon Coleman (foot) and Skyler Bell. Skinner will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 24-year-old goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Bills released Pettis on Saturday.

Pettis signed with the Bills in late July. The wide receiver is a versatile special-teams player but could not do enough to make the roster over younger talent. The 30-year-old played in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Steelers, catching one of three targets for 16 yards. Pettis is now a free agent able to sign with any organization.

The Panthers released Chisena (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Chisena had reverted to injured reserve late last month after picking up an injury in practice, but his time in Carolina has now come to an end. The 29-year-old will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.

Toure fought to make the Eagles' 53-man roster, but with names such as DeVonta Smith, rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore dominating the depth chart, the 28-year-old Toure only ever had a slim chance. He will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the wide receiver goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Tipton (leg) is expected to begin the 2026 regular season on the reserve/PUP list, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Tipton began training camp on the active/PUP list, so the wide receiver is eligible to be placed on the reserve/PUP list to start the season. Once the third-year player recovers from his tibia surgery and spends the required minimum four weeks on the PUP list, he will be eligible to return to the Saints for the remainder of the regular season.

The Dolphins waived Wease on Saturday.

Wease played a large role at wide receiver for the Dolphins' last three regular-season games in 2025. The wide receiver had an edge over all the new competition due to his experience, but it appears he will be unable to make the final cut. If Wease remains unclaimed through Monday's waiver process, there is a strong chance he will end up back with the Dolphins on the team's practice squad.

Pierce (ankle) is working out prior to Saturday's preseason game against the Lions but will not play, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

Pierce was activated from the Active/PUP list Thursday, but he is not ready to appear in a game just yet. He will keep building up over the next two weeks with an eye on suiting up for his team's Week 1 matchup with the Ravens.
