Hurst (calf) is on track to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Coach Zac Taylor relayed that Hurst, who was limited Thursday, had a good practice Friday, which sets the stage for the tight end to be available versus Kansas City. The Bengals' final injury report will clarify both Hurst's participation level Friday, as well as whether or not he carries an official injury designation into the weekend.

The Saints signed Forristall to a reserve/future contract Thursday, per the team's official site.

Forristall is now in line to remain with New Orleans throughout the offseason where he'll compete for one of the team's roster spots come training camp. The 6-foot-5 tight end has appeared in six games for Cleveland across the last two campaigns but has yet to haul in his first career reception.

Hurst practiced fully Wednesday, so the tight end's addition to the Bengals' injury report makes his status worth tracking as Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs approaches. He dealt with a calf issue back in December, but it's unclear if his listed limitations Thursday are indicative of a setback in practice or a case of workload management.

Dallas signed Green to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Green, an undrafted tight end out of Houston, signed with Dallas' practice squad in October, but he was cut in mid-December and remained a free agent for the rest of the year. With his new contract, Green will rejoin the Cowboys organization and will be able to compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Fortson (elbow) has a chance to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.

Fortson returned to practice ahead of the divisional-round matchup against the Jaguars, but he ultimately remained on injured reserve and missed a fourth straight game due to an elbow injury. Reid said Fortson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) could both be back in the fold this Sunday, but the tight end seems to be further along in his recovery from injury than the running back. Fortson, who caught nine of 13 targets for 108 yards and two scores across 13 regular-season appearances, will likely have only a minimal role on offense Sunday if he's brought back from IR prior to the game.

Mundt caught 19 of 21 targets for 140 yards and a touchdown while playing in all 17 games during the 2022 regular season.

Mundt saw by far the most extensive playing time of his career after following Vikings first-year coach Kevin O'Connell to Minnesota this past offseason. The 28-year-old tight end also accumulated more receptions and receiving yards than he did over the first six seasons of his career with the Rams. Mundt still finished the season in a reserve role behind prolific receiving tight end T.J. Hockenson, who was acquired via trade from Detroit midway through the season. With 2019 second-round pick Irv Smith currently set to become a free agent this offseason, Mundt could be in line to serve as Minnesota's No. 2 tight end in 2023.

Over eight regular-season games, Smith recorded 25 receptions (on 36 targets) for 182 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.

Smith got out to a solid start over the first seven games of the season before landing on IR with a high-ankle sprain. The 2019 second-round pick then was activated ahead of the regular-season finale, though he'd already lost his No. 1 tight end spot to T.J. Hockenson, whom the Vikings acquired via trade from Detroit just before Smith went on injured reserve Nov. 1. Smith then finished the campaign by catching one of two targets while playing just four offensive snaps in the wild-card loss to the Giants. He thus finished the 2022 campaign with the lowest receiving marks of his career outside of the 2021 season, when he sat out every game due to a meniscus injury. Smith now is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, leaving it possible he isn't retained by the Vikings.

Bowers reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Bowers has spent the entire season on the practice squad and was elevated for the first time ahead of Sunday's divisional-round win over Buffalo. The 26-year-old tight end ultimately was ruled inactive, and he's unlikely to see any action in this coming Sunday's AFC Championship Game at Kansas City, barring any injuries to the tight ends on Cincinnati's active roster. Bowers still has yet to record a catch in his career.

The Bills signed Davidson to a reserve/future contract Monday, Chris Brown of the team's official site reports.

Davidson was a fifth-round pick by the Vikings in 2021 and was a member of the team's practice squad as a rookie. The 6-foot-7 tight end was then waived ahead of the 2022 season and spent the entire campaign with the Bills' practice squad. Davidson now will look to see the field in regular-season action for the first time with Buffalo during the 2023 season.

The Jaguars signed Prince to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Prince spent the entire 2022 campaign on Jacksonville's practice squad, but he wasn't elevated to the active roster. With his new contract, the undrafted tight end out of UAB will be able to stick around the Jaguars' organization and have a chance to compete for a larger role during the offseason.
