  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

Steelers' MyCole Pruitt: Sits out practice again

Pruitt (knee) is not practicing Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Pruitt has now missed back-to-back practices due to a knee issue, resulting in Pittsburgh's elevation of tight end Rodney Williams from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. If Pruitt isn't able to suit up Sunday versus the Chargers, Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward will figure to benefit most from increased opportunities behind Pat Freiermuth.

  • David Njoku TE | CLE

Browns' David Njoku: Sits out another practice

Njoku (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Njoku hasn't practiced in any fashion since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Browns' Week 1 loss to the Cowboys, and he looks to be trending toward a second straight missed game Sunday against the Giants. Before officially ruling him out for Week 3, the Browns will wait and see what, if anything, Njoku can do during Friday's practice.

  • Davis Allen TE | LAR

Rams' Davis Allen: Still not practicing

Allen (back) did not practice Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Allen missed practice all of last week due to a back issue and didn't suit up for Sunday's loss to Arizona. His absence from practice to begin this week isn't a promising sign for his chance of returning to action against San Francisco in Week 3, though he'll have two more days to get back on the field prior to the release of Friday's final injury report. If Allen can't suit up Sunday, Hunter Long is likely to continue to back up Colby Parkinson at tight end.

  • Pharaoh Brown TE | ARI

Seahawks' Pharaoh Brown: Limited to open week

Brown (foot) was a limited participant at the Seahawks' practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Brown has been forced to miss the team's first two games of the season with a foot injury, but his ability to practice Wednesday is a step in the right direction. The tight end was limited at practice last week before ultimately being ruled out and he'll look to log a full session prior to Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Seahawks' Noah Fant: Limited to begin Week 3 prep

Fant (toe) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Fant again is kicking off a week of game prep with a capped session due to a toe injury, but he's been able to play through the issue so far, gathering in three of seven targets for 25 yards through two contests. His status will continue to be watched as the Seahawks gear up to face the Dolphins on Sunday.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Remains limited this week

Tremble (hamstring/back) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Tremble made his season debut this past Sunday against the Chargers, earning a 46 percent share of snaps and reeling in three of four targets for 23 yards. Meanwhile, rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders logged two more snaps (24 versus 22), but his two catches on as many targets went for just eight yards. Assuming Tremble is able to play through his health concerns moving forward, he should continue to start and perhaps even increase his workload as the season goes on.

  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Limited in practice Wednesday

Schultz (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.

Schultz missed consecutive practices last week before logging a full session Friday to avoid taking an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bears. In Houston's 19-13 win over Chicago, Schultz caught two of his three targets for 21 yards while logging a 71 percent snap share. With no reported setbacks in that contest, Schultz's listed limitations Wednesday may have simply been a case of load management ahead of this Sunday's game against the Vikings.

  • Cowboys' John Stephens: Returns to practice Wednesday

Stephens (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Stephens has been held out of the Cowboys' first two games of the season due to a hamstring injury. He hasn't been able to practice over the last two weeks, so his limited participation Wednesday is an upgrade and bodes well for his chances of making his NFL debut Sunday against the Ravens. Stephens is the Cowboys' No. 4 tight end behind Jake Ferguson (knee), Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford.

  • Adam Trautman TE | DEN

Broncos' Adam Trautman: Dealing with shoulder injury

Trautman (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Trautman has two more practices to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. The 2020 third-round pick played 26 snaps (23 on offense, three on special teams) and did not register a target in the Broncos' Week 2 loss to the Steelers.

  • Greg Dulcich TE | MIA

Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Limited practice Wednesday

Dulcich was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to knee and ankle injuries, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

In the Broncos' Week 2 loss to the Steelers, Dulcich logged 33 of 61 snaps on offense en route to catching three of his eight targets for 16 yards. The tight end is now carrying a pair of injury concerns ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, but still could avoid a Week 3 injury designation if he practices fully by Friday.
