Wiley (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Miami, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site site reports.

Despite being healthy, Wiley didn't see any action in the Chiefs' first two games of the 2026 campaign. That trend will continue Sunday versus the Dolphins, meaning his next opportunity to get involved will come in Week 4 against the Raiders.

Conklin (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Conklin has been used sparingly through the first two games of the regular season, and the veteran tight end will be a healthy scratch Sunday against the team he played for from 2022 to 2024. Brock Wright and Jackson Meeks will provide depth at the position behind Sam LaPorta, and Conklin's next opportunity to play is Week 4 against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Schultz is in line to see an increase in targets for the second consecutive game in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Colts due to Nico Collins (hamstring) being ruled inactive for the contest.

The veteran tight end recorded a career-high 140 receiving yards on 12 receptions (14 targets) in the Week 2 loss to the Bengals, a game that marked Collins' first absence of the season. The fact the Texans were in catch-up mode and the Bengals' defense tends to funnel production to tight ends were both mitigating factors in Schultz's atypical numbers, but Collins' second consecutive absence does create the opportunity for another busy afternoon as Houston aims to secure its first win. Additionally, the Colts have been fairly generous to tight ends over the first two games of the season, surrendering a 75.0 percent catch rate, 11.1 yards per reception and tying for the third-most receptions (15) given up to the position among teams that have played two games thus far.

Sanders (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

A fourth-round selection of the Panthers in the 2024 NFL Draft, Sanders will be a healthy scratch for each of the first three games of the 2026 regular season. There doesn't appear to be a clear path to playing time for the Texas product, unless at least one of Tommy Tremble, Mitchell Evans, Darren Waller or Feleipe Franks were to be unavailable. Sanders' next opportunity to suit up is Week 4 against the Lions on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Raridon (thigh) is listed as inactive Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Raridon saw the field for 36 snaps in Week 1, but his Week 2 showing was cut significantly after exiting the game with a thigh injury. After missing practice Thursday and Friday, the rookie will ultimately miss his first career game, paving the way for Cameron Latu and Tanner Arkin to work in a reserve capacity behind starting tight end Hunter Henry.

Bowers (knee), who is listed as questionable for Week 3, is expected to make his season debut Sunday at New Orleans, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

Bowers underwent a meniscus trim on his left knee on Sept. 8 that sidelined him for the first two games of the season, and he then followed up back-to-back limited sessions to kick off Week 3 prep with an absence Friday, which head coach Klint Kubiak chalked up as a planned DNP, per Sam Warren of The Athletic. Listed as questionable ahead of the weekend, Bowers now is poised to return to action Sunday, "barring a surprise," according to Fowler.

Smith caught two passes on three targets for 16 yards during Thursday's 35-14 loss to Atlanta.

Smith was able to contribute to the Packers' passing attack Thursday after failing to log a target in Week 2 against the Jets .His 22 snaps on offense were second-most among Green Bay tight ends behind Tucker Kraft (50) and ahead of both Mark Redman (eight) and Josh Whyle (one). Smith will take a 4-66-0 receiving line (on six targets) into the Packers' Week 4 road tilt against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Hooper caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown during Atlanta's 35-14 win over Green Bay on Thursday.

Hooper was on the field for 16 of the Falcons' 71 offensive snaps, which was behind fellow tight ends Charlie Woerner (43), Kyle Pitts (42) and Nick Muse (17). However, unlike those three tight ends, Hooper contributed to the scoreboard by hauling in a five-yard touchdown pass from Michael Penix with just over a minute left to play in the second quarter. Hooper has a 4-31-1 receiving line (on six targets) through the first three games of the regular season.

The Bengals elevated Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Hudson was elevated for the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Buccaneers, playing six offensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps in the contest and catching his sole target for four yards. The tight end should fill a similar role in Sunday's game against the Steelers, providing special teams coverage alongside a minimal offensive snap share.

The Chargers elevated Herbert from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills.

Herbert is set to be the No. 3 tight end behind Oronde Gadsden and Hayden Rucci in Sunday's contest due to the absence of Charlie Kolar (forearm) and David Njoku (lower leg). The tight end is set to suit up alongside his brother and quarterback Justin Herbert. The duo could combine for the first brother-to-brother completion in NFL regular-season history while quarterback legend Tom Brady is on the call.
