  • Raiders' Albert Okwuegbunam: Elevated from practice squad

The Raiders elevated Okwuegbunam from their practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's matchup versus the Colts.

Okwuegbunam will provide extra depth at tight end, as Michael Mayer (concussion) isn't expected to play, and Brock Bowers (knee) is also dealing with an injury. This is the second straight week the team has elevated Okwuegbunam, although he didn't see the field during last week's loss versus the Bears.

  • Taysom Hill TE | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: In line to return Sunday

Hill (knee), who remains on the reserve/PUP list, is expected to be active Sunday against the Giants, The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

The Saints are required to activate Hill from the PUP list by 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday in order for Hill to have a chance to suit up for the first time since tearing the ACL in his left knee Week 13 of last season. Once that occurs, he's listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game, meaning his status will receive clarity about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Nate Adkins TE | DEN

Broncos' Nate Adkins: Cleared to play against Philly

Adkins (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Adkins entered the league's concussion protocol following the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Bengals. He increased his practice participation steadily over the week, and after a full session Friday, he's been given the green light to play in Sunday's road game, when he'll serve in a depth role at tight end behind Evan Engram and Adam Trautman.

  • Lucas Krull TE | DEN

Broncos' Lucas Krull: Won't play due to foot injury

Krull (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

The foot injury is a new one, as he appeared on Friday's practice report as a DNP. The injury is severe enough for him to be ruled out for Sunday's contest, though his absence won't make too much of an impact as he was a healthy scratch for the Broncos' Week 4 win against the Bengals. With Krull sidelined, Denver's tight end room will consist of Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins.

  • Tucker Fisk TE | LAC

Chargers' Tucker Fisk: Questionable for Week 5

Fisk (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders.

With Will Dissly (knee) looking like a decent bet to return for Week 5 after logging a full practice Friday, Fisk likely doesn't have much of a role on offense behind the aforementioned Dissly, Tyler Conklin and rookie Oronde Gadsden.

  • Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Good to go against Denver

Calcaterra (illness) was a full participant in Friday's practice and carries no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Calcaterra popped up on Thursday's injury report due to an illness, but the fourth-year tight end has been cleared to play in Week 5. With Dallas Goedert (knee) also given the green light to play Sunday, Calcaterra will slot in as the Eagles' TE2 while Kylen Granson and Cameron Latu provide additional depth at the position.

  • Brock Bowers TE | LV

Raiders' Brock Bowers: Expected to play Sunday, per coach

Though Bowers (knee) didn't practice Thursday and Friday, coach Pete Carroll expects the tight end to play Sunday against the Colts, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

Per Carroll, Bowers didn't suffer a setback with the knee issue that he's been managing. Instead, the team elected to give the 2024 first-rounder extra rest ahead of Week 5 action. For his part, Bowers said he's feeling better each week and wants to continue that trend, while adding that he's not allowed to share further details on an injury that's been frustrating for him to deal with. In any case, given that he's officially listed as questionable -- as is fellow TE Michael Mayer concussion -- fantasy managers will still need to verify Bowers' status Sunday, but fortunately the Raiders have a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this week.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Headed for another start

Tremble appears to be in line to serve as the Panthers' top tight end in Sunday's game against the Dolphins while Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) remains out.

While Sanders was sidelined for last Sunday's 42-13 loss to the Patriots, Tremble stepped up to play a season-high 75 percent of the Panthers' offensive snaps, finishing with five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. Tremble could be headed for a similar snap share once again in Week 5, though his usage in the passing game may take a hit since the Panthers will get one of their key pass catchers (Xavier Legette) back from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury.

  • Will Dissly TE | LAC

Chargers' Will Dissly: Draws questionable tag for Week 5

Dissly (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

Dissly -- who worked fully Friday -- will carry a designation into the weekend after he was a limited participant in practices Wednesday and Thursday, while managing the knee issue. Before missing the Chargers' last two games, Dissly had served as the team's top tight end through the first two weeks of the season, but he drew just two targets between those contests.

  • Raiders' Michael Mayer: Iffy for Sunday's contest

Mayer (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

The Raiders are listing their top two tight ends as questionable for the contest, as Brock Bowers (knee) is also taking a designation into Sunday after managing just one limited practice this week. Mayer, meanwhile, was a limited participant throughout the week, but if he can clear the five-step concussion protocol ahead of Sunday's contest, he could be in line for a prominent role in the event that Bowers sits. If both Bowers and Mayer end up sitting out, however, the Raiders would be left with Ian Thomas and Carter Runyon as their healthy options at the position.
