  • Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Exits early with ankle injury

Sanders sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's game versus the Falcons, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Sanders was being attended to by team trainers before the Panthers tagged him as questionable to return early in the fourth quarter. He hauled in both of his targets for 11 yards prior to his departure.

  • Tip Reiman TE | ARI

Cardinals' Tip Reiman: Set to return Week 3

Reiman (foot) is active for Sunday's clash against San Francisco.

Reiman missed Arizona's Week 2 win over Carolina due to a foot injury, but he was able to log a trio of limited practices this week and has been cleared to suit up against the 49ers. He'll likely serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 tight end but may not see many looks in the passing game behind star TE Trey McBride.

  • Raiders' Michael Mayer: Won't return Sunday

Mayer (concussion) won't return to Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Upon his exit from the contest, Mayer was reported by the team as being evaluated for a head injury and questionable to return. Now that it's been confirmed that the tight end sustained a concussion, he'll need to advance through the NFL's concussion protocol in order to have a chance to suit up next Sunday against the Bears.

  • Raiders' Michael Mayer: Exits Sunday's game

Mayer exited Sunday's game against the Commanders to be evaluated for a head injury.

Prior to his departure, Mayer did not catch his only target in the contest. In his absence, Ian Thomas is available to back up top TE Brock Bowers.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Healthy inactive for Week 3

Ferguson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

A second-round selection in April, Ferguson was the third tight end off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft, going after first-round choices Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren. Despite his pedigree, Ferguson hasn't been able to earn a meaningful role with the Rams over the first two weeks of the season, playing just four offensive snaps in total. He may be in store for limited opportunities with Los Angeles as a rookie so long as the other tight ends on the roster (Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen) all stay reasonably healthy.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Cleared to play vs. Philadelphia

Parkinson (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Parkinson was not cleared to play against the Titans in Week 2 due to a shoulder injury, but has been given the green light to suit up Sunday. Parkinson will serve as the Rams' backup tight end behind Tyler Higbee while Davis Allen works in rotation.

  • Tanner Hudson TE | CIN

Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Healthy scratch Week 3

Hudson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Hudson exclusively played on special teams in the Bengals' first two games of the regular season, but he will observe Sunday's game in street clothes while Cincinnati goes with Noah Fant, Drew Sample and Cam Grandy as the three backup tight ends behind starter Mike Gesicki. Hudson's next chance to play is Week 4 against the Broncos on Monday, Sept. 29.

  • Tucker Kraft TE | GB

Packers' Tucker Kraft: Suiting up Sunday

Kraft (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Cleveland, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

After tweaking his left knee at Thursday's practice, Kraft was held out of drills entirely Friday before the Packers listed him as questionable for Week 3 action. Initial reports indicated that it wasn't a long-term concern, and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Saturday that Kraft was expected to suit up Sunday. Now that Kraft's status is confirmed, it remains to be seen if he'll be able to handle his typical workload, but he'll be aiming to record his third touchdown in as many games to begin the season.

  • Moliki Matavao: Let go by Saints

Matavao was waived by the Saints on Saturday.

Matavao was selected by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was originally able to crack the team's roster. He played a few snaps on special teams in Weeks 1 and 2, but he'll now be seeking a new opportunity around the league.

  • Saints' Treyton Welch: Bumped up from practice squad

The Saints elevated Welch from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Welch has been on the Saints' practice squad since the start of the 2024 season but has never been active for a regular-season game. That could change Sunday against the Seahawks.
