Pinkney spent the 2020 season on the Falcons' practice squad. The Vanderbilt product could take on a similar role with the Titans this season.

Sutton was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Sutton failed to carve out a role at tight end, as Gerald Everett, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson (foot) made the initial 53-man roster. Parkinson will be less than 100 percent for the season opener, so Sutton could add valuable depth on the practice squad.

Johnson has made the regular-season roster at tight end, Mike Triplett of ESPN reports.

Johnson figures to have some sort of role as a pass-catching tight end throughout the year. However, with top receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) set to miss the first six weeks of the season and both Adam Trautman (ankle) and Nick Vannett (knee) bouncing back from minor injuries, Johnson could have a chance to show what he can do in an expanded role as soon as Week 1.

The Cowboys waived Eubanks on Tuesday, Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com reports.

Eubanks was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent this offseason. Dallas may elect to bring him back on its practice squad if he clears waivers.

The Jaguars waived Davis on Tuesday.

Davis appeared in eight games as a rookie, dropping one of his two targets. He will likely clear waivers and end up on the Jaguars' practice squad this season.

Mack was waived by the Lions on Tuesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.

The 6-foot-5 tight end is an intriguing prospect as a pass-catcher, but the Lions decided to cut both him and Brock Wright as just two tight ends remain on Detroit's final roster. Still just 24 years old, it's possible Mack could get another chance elsewhere.

Detroit opted to keep only two tight ends on the roster, but it seems likely that the team will find depth through waivers. Meanwhile, Wright could be a candidate for the practice squad.

Engram (calf) may not be ready for Week 1, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Joe judge used the team "gray area" when discussing Engram and his recent calf injury, noting that the Giants will need to see how the tight end progresses later this week. For the time being, Engram and Kyle Rudolph (calf) both look shaky for Week 1 against Denver, potentially leaving Kaden Smith as the starting tight end. Engram hurt his calf during Sunday's preseason loss to the Patriots, exiting in the first half after catching two of three targets for 22 yards.

The Ravens waived Mason on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

With fullback Patrick Ricard easily ahead of Mason on the depth chart, the Ravens' fifth-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft was released Tuesday. The fullback was hoping to earn a roster spot with one of the Ravens' special teams units, but he will now have to look for a job elsewhere.

Conklin (hamstring) is facing increased competition for snaps with the Vikings having traded for tight end Chris Herndon, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Conklin looks set to begin the regular season in a starting role while Irv Smith (knee) recovers from surgery, but it appears that the Vikings desire more security at the position. The severity of Smith's meniscus injury remains unclear, and there's a chance it could be season-ending, so the acquisition of Herndon could reflect those worries as much as it does concerns about Conklin's skill set. In any case, Herndon is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons with the Jets and now faces the task of learning a new offense, so as long as Conklin can shake his hamstring injury, he'll remain on track to start Sept. 12's season opener in Cincinnati.
