Bates played 33 percent of offensive snaps and caught his lone target for a six-yard gain in a 17-16 win over Indianapolis on Sunday.

Bates finished third among the Washington tight ends in snap share with Logan Thomas returning from a three-game absence. All three were bunched fairly close together, with Thomas at 56 percent and Armani Rogers at 36 percent. Bates is probably the least intersting from a fantasy standpoint, as he ran the fewest routes and spent most of his afternoon blocking. He's unlikely to see more than a target or two Week 9 against the Vikings.

Rogers caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over Indianapolis

The rookie played 36 percent of the offensive snaps even with Logan Thomas back in the lineup, and Thomas finished without a target despite leading the team's TEs with a 56 percent snap share. John Bates also got a good bit of playing time, 33 percent, and Thomas could take on more work in Week 9 against Minnesota now that he's returned from a three-walk absence due to a calf injury. Rogers thus appears unlikely to see more than a target or two, but he's put himself on the map for deeper dynasty leagues at least, earning playing time as an undrafted rookie after playing a different position (QB) in college.

Thomas played 56 percent of the offensive snaps but wasn't targeted in Sunday's 17-16 win over Indianapolis.

In his first game back from a three-week absence due to a calf injury, Thomas shared snaps with Armani Rogers (36 percent) and John Bates (33 percent), a duo that combined for three targets. Thomas could see more work in Week 9 against Minnesota considering he handled at least 62 percent of snaps and three or more targets in each of Washington's first four games this season.

Akins caught one of two targets for five yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to Tennessee in Week 8.

Akins was one of several skill-position players whose production was subdued on a day when the offense gained just 161 yards. Akins had gained 154 yards on 10 catches, including a touchdown, over the last four weeks, but without a credible running game, quarterback Davis Mills seems unable to carry the offense.

Tonyan caught five of six targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 27-17 loss to Buffalo.

Tonyan actually led all Green Bay receiving options with his five snags Sunday, but most of his receptions were outlet passes. The veteran tight end did have a touchdown called back when he knocked his defender down in order to get wide open in the end zone. Tonyan is averaging six receptions and 52.3 yards over his last three games. The recent uptick in production coupled with a soft matchup against the Lions next Sunday should give Tonyan some starting appeal Week 9.

Knox caught two of three targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Packers.

Knox is lagging behind his 49-587-9 line from last season, as he has just 17 catches for 158 yards and two scores though six games (he missed one contest). However, he's scored in back-to-back games, and there's really no competition behind him for tight-end targets, so his production could continue to pick up if teams start to sell out to cover Stefon Diggs with multiple defenders.

Myarick caught his only target for 10 yards in a loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.

When rookie Daniel Bellinger departed last week's win over Jacksonville with an eye injury, Myarick stepped up to log a career-best 21 receiving yards on two catches. He wasn't able to build upon that production in Week 8, as Tanner Hudson instead saw increased opportunity with three catches on five targets for 58 yards. Myarick and/or Hudson could see a sprinkling of targets each week while Bellinger remains out, but neither is a priority add in fantasy given the uncertain work distribution and the lack of potency in New York's air attack.

Hudson caught three of five targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Seahawks.

With Daniel Bellinger sidelined due to a fractured eye socket, Hudson stepped up as the Giants' top receiving option at tight end, while Chris Myarick caught the only pass thrown his way for 10 yards. With the Giants on bye next week, Bellinger might have enough time to recover and return to action, but if he remains out Hudson could have some deep-league appeal in Week 10 against the Texans.

Freiermuth recorded four receptions on seven targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 35-13 loss to the Eagles.

Freiermuth finished behind only Diontae Johnson in targets and has at least seven targets in five of his seven games this season. He wasn't particularly efficient in Sunday's loss, though he still managed lengthy receptions of 21 and 18 yards. Volume alone makes Freiermuth valuable given that he plays tight end, though the poor state of the Steelers' offense continues to limit his ability to find the end zone and perform consistently.

Jordan caught two of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.

No Texan other than Brandin Cooks did much through the air in this one, and while Jordan led the tight end group in targets, O.J. Howard (2-24 on three targets) and Jordan Akins (1-5 on two targets) were nearly as involved. Even rookie fullback Troy Hairston (2-7 on two targets), who came into the game with only one career catch, got in on the action. Jordan remains atop the depth chart, but the three-way split puts a firm ceiling on the fantasy value of all Houston's tight ends, even in favorable matchups.
