  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Active for Week 14

Miller (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants.

It was well reported that the Saints former head coach, Dennis Allen, wasn't a fan of Miller missing so much time early in his career due to injuries. However, interim head coach Darren Rizzi doesn't feel the same way and is excited to have Miller, who has missed 11 of 13 games this season due to two IR stints, back in the fold. While Rizzi remains optimistic about Miller's ability to make an impact, it's unclear how much the second-year running back will be involved against the Giants, as Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams are both active. In two appearances this season, Miller has totaled 11 touches for 53 yards across 28 offensive snaps. He also saw some work as a kick returner.

  • Raiders' Sincere McCormick: Another expanded role may await

McCormick is expected to work in a timeshare out of the backfield Ameer Abdullah in Sunday's game at Tampa Bay due to Zamir White (quadricep) being ruled out and with Alexander Mattison (ankle) listed as questionable but considered unlikely to play, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

The Raiders also have rookie sixth-round pick Dylan Laube on hand as another option at running back, though he played exclusively on special teams while Mattison and White were both out the previous two games. McCormick, meanwhile, was elevated from the practice squad for both contests and carried 17 times for 97 yards (5.7 YPC) to go with two receptions for one yard between those games. Though he has comfortably outpaced McCormick in snaps in both games and has been the superior pass-catching threat (seven receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown on eight targets), Abdullah is averaging just 3.7 yards on his 18 totes over the past two weeks, which could compel the Raiders to give McCormick more work on the ground Sunday. Las Vegas signed McCormick to its 53-man roster Tuesday, potentially giving him some security if one or both of White and Mattison is able to return to the mix later on this season.

  • Braelon Allen RB | NYJ

Jets' Braelon Allen: Set to help fill in for Hall

Allen is expected to take on an expanded role out of the Jets backfield Sunday against the Dolphins due to Breece Hall (knee) being ruled out for the contest, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jets aren't planning on shutting Hall down for the season, but with the star tailback set to miss his first game of 2024 on Sunday, Allen could be in store for the biggest snap and touch counts of his young career. Allen hasn't played more than 36 percent of snaps or handled more than 14 touches in any of the Jets' first 12 games, and though he reeled off some impressive runs early on in the season, he's averaging just 2.8 yards per carry over his last eight outings. Despite the poor results of late, the 6-foot-1, 235-pound Allen still looks best suited to serve as the Jets' top option on early downs, though he may cede pass-catching duties to fellow rookie Isaiah Davis, who recorded three receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 loss to the Seahawks. The Jets may also look to give a few snaps to the speedy Kene Nwangwu, who returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown last week.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Trending toward not playing Week 14

Mostert, who is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Jets due to a hip injury, isn't likely to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Mostert was able to practice all week, but only in a limited fashion. He was given a questionable tag heading into the weekend, and he appears in line to miss his first contest since Week 4. If that's the case, Jaylen Wright would likely work as the top backup to De'Von Achane in the Miami backfield.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Not slated to be shut down

The Jets aren't planning to shut down Hall (knee) for the season despite ruling him out for Sunday's game against Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

New York has little reason to put any of its players at risk of worsening an injury given the team's 3-9 record heading into Sunday, but the organization doesn't appear to be viewing Hall's knee issue as something that should be season-ending. On Saturday, the third-year running back was downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, but it's worth noting that earlier in the week, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich had expressed optimism about Hall's chances of suiting up. It's not yet clear what the likelihood is of Hall missing next Sunday's contest against Jacksonville, but while he is sidelined for at least one week, the Jets' backfield work will likely fall primarily to Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Could return for Week 15

Walker, who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Arizona due to an ankle injury and a calf issue, did not suffer a setback this week and could return to action next Sunday versus Green Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Walker went from a limited practice Wednesday to no participation in practices Thursday and Friday, but Schefter suggests that the downturn in activity wasn't the result of a setback. While Walker won't be able to take the field in Sunday's clash with the Cardinals that has huge implications for the NFC playoff picture, the third-year running back appears to have a chance of returning to action for another critical contest in Week 15. With Walker out this week, Zach Charbonnet will likely lead Seattle's backfield, with Kenny McIntosh and George Holani working behind him.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Bears' D'Andre Swift: In line to play Sunday

Swift (quadriceps), who is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, is expected to suit up, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Swift entered the weekend deemed with a designation after logging just one limited practice this week. He looks like he'll be able to take the field Sunday, taking aim at a San Francisco defense that gave up 220 rushing yards -- albeit in a snowstorm -- against Buffalo last week. If Swift is indeed cleared to play prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, he'll be looking to break out of a two-game slump during which he's totaled a meager 69 rushing yards on 24 carries without a score. The veteran running back has been fine as a receiver in that span, however, tallying 70 yards on five catches.

  • Raiders' Alexander Mattison: Appears set to miss another game

Mattison (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, isn't likely to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Mattison logged a trio of limited practices this week, but he doesn't appear ready to return to action. Assuming he's made inactive ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, it will be the veteran tailback's third straight absence. Zamir White (quadricep) has already been ruled out for Week 14, so Las Vegas' backfield will likely be lead by Sincere McCormick on the ground, while Ameer Abdullah serves as the top change-of-pace option.

  • 49ers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Elevated for Week 14

The 49ers elevated Vaughn from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Vaughn was signed to the 49ers' practice squad Monday due to Christian McCaffrey (knee) and Jordan Mason (ankle) both being placed on injured reserve. Vaughn will be the Niners' No. 4 running back behind Isaac Guerendo, Patrick Taylor and Israel Abanikanda for Sunday's game against the Bears. Vaughn appeared in six regular-season games for the Buccaneers in 2023 and logged 24 carries for 42 yards while adding two catches for two yards.

  • Kenny McIntosh RB | SEA

Seahawks' Kenny McIntosh: Potential for more opportunities

McIntosh could handle additional reps in Sunday's game versus the Cardinals because Kenneth Walker (ankle/calf) has been ruled out.

Zach Charbonnet is expected to be the primary back, much like he was in Weeks 2 and 3 when Walker was inactive. During those games, McIntosh played 11 offensive snaps and carried the ball three times for 11 yards. Thus, McIntosh still shouldn't be started in most formats, but he's worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues in case Walker's injury lingers.
